We're seriously crushing on the luxe Baan Jakawan in Koh Samui, Thailand. From the best views of the bay to THAT infinity pool.
If you’ve been contemplating a big family reunion or a special trip with a large group of friends, but don’t know where to start when it comes to accommodation, then call off the search because Baan Jakawan in Koh Samui delivers the perfect destination for an all-out family get together. Here’s all you need to know.
Baan Jakawan in Koh Samui: The ultimate villa vacay
We love Thailand at the best of times, and even more so now that we’ve found this family bolthole in Koh Samui. Located just ten minutes from Samui International Airport and five minutes from the town of Chaweng, it’s the ideal spot for a family holiday. Not that you’ll want to leave the villa for one minute when you see what’s in store. First up – the infinity pool. Referred to as the best infinity pool in town, it’s easy to see why; it’s a whopping 39.5m! Good luck getting the kids to ever leave it. And for the parents? Well, you can just grab a cocktail at the swim-up bar or chill out on one of the loungers and take in that epic view of the bay beyond.
Private chef and so much more!
Sound like the holiday of dreams already? We’re far from finished. This villa comes with a chef, concierge, villa manager and housekeeper, so you really don’t need to raise a finger. Bringing along the fussy eaters (AKA the kids), fret not; your private chef can rustle up every cuisine, including Western and Asian, plus popular kids’ dishes. Special requests and dietary requirements can also be catered for. How about where you’re dining? Take your pick! The villa has both indoor and outdoor dining areas, which can seat up to 12 people. There’s even a full kitchen and grill outdoors to really embrace the alfresco feel of the whole place.
And what’s dinner without wine? That’s where Baan Jakawan just keeps on giving; it has its very own wine cellar with a selection of wine, champagne and spirits that you can purchase at competitive prices. One more thing on food – continental breakfast is provided daily during your stay.
We love how the villa is all about open-plan living with its Thai-inspired living room complete with two sitting areas, so you can keep an eye on the kids but still have your own space. The foldaway glass doors from the living area mean that the outside is really inside, too, so you’ve got the best of both worlds! We also love the new Sonos sound system, which covers the whole garden, pool and living area. Party mode: ON!
Eight fabulous guest rooms
And what about where you’re all going to sleep? The good news is that this villa has eight fabulous guest rooms, four of which are equipped with king-size beds. Three of the other rooms offer twin beds, with the option to be made into a king, and there’s also one kid’s room with three double-bunk beds – so there is plenty of space. If you’re the one to make the booking or get lucky in the straw poll for the room picks, make sure you opt for the room by the pool, which is huge and even has its own living room and bathtub – fancy! But whichever room you pick, you don’t need to worry – all eight bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas. No more sharing with the kids on holiday, woo!
Fancy dragging yourself away from the infinity pool to explore the town sans kids? Babysitting services can also be booked through the villa concierge.
Think this all sounds incredible, but not sure how you’re going to fill eight rooms? There’s the option to book the villa at a reduced rate for reduced occupancy, so you can pick what works for you – from four beds (eight persons) all the way through to eight (16 persons).
So there you have it, your next big family getaway right here. You’re welcome!
