Nexus International School (Singapore) continues to shine in our annual Singapore Education Awards, topping the list again in sustainability, technology in learning, and future-readiness; as well as a new win: School Where Everybody Knows Your Name.
From sustainability to future-readiness, and a sense of belonging, Nexus International School (Singapore) scored top points across four categories in the 2026/2027 Singapore Education Awards. The innovative school won Gold for School Where Everybody Knows Your Name, Digital Technology in Learning Award, and Sustainable International School of the Year; also clinching Silver for International School With the Most Future-Ready Students.
What makes Nexus a winner

The school scored its first ever win in the School Where Everybody Knows Your Name category, impressing judges with its warm and nurturing community. With a 1,500-strong school community across 15 grade levels, the Nexus community is actually surprisingly tight-knit. This is all thanks to the school’s focus on building strong relationships between teachers, learners, and parents. Teachers know every child in the classroom by heart, not just based on their academic performances, but by their unique personalities. Parents are also always welcomed on campus, being able to join workshops, fitness groups, book clubs, and even mahjong groups. This makes a world of difference for families, especially for those who are new to Singapore.
Aside from this, Nexus continues to reign as the Gold winner for Sustainable International School of the Year for the fourth consecutive year. Sustainable practices are deeply rooted in the school, from campus construction materials to farm-to-table efforts on campus. Nexus learners even launched their own sustainable business ideas like Neutrino Coffee and Greentopia – the latter also won the school JA Company of the Year!
The school’s digital learning strategy also impressed judges once again, winning Nexus its second Gold in Digital Technology in Learning Award. It’s not just an Apple Distinguished School, it’s also a school that strives for its learners to achieve digital maturity, not just digital literacy. This means learners don’t just possess the hard skills of knowing how to use digital tools, but are ethical users who can make informed judgment on when and how to use them.
Last but not least, Nexus has also proven itself to be a school that produces future-ready learners. Real-world problem solving takes place in the classroom on a daily basis, and learners are known to tackle global causes for their PYP exhibition and Year 9 community projects. Because at the end of the day, Nexus believes you need more than good grades to succeed – you need empathy, innovation, and a purpose. This approach to future-readiness has won Nexus Silver two years in a row for School With the Most Future-Ready Students.
An education that prepares children for the world

A future-ready education with sustainability at its core, taking place within a close-knit school community where every child is known. As parents ourselves, we really appreciate what Nexus has to offer children and families.
Well done, Nexus International School (Singapore)!
