Nexus International School has continued to impress our judges year after year, with three big wins this time in the Education Awards 2025!
Nexus International School has consistently won Gold for Sustainable School of the Year since 2023, making it the clear champion for three years in a row! This year, Nexus adds two more accolades to the bag: Gold for Digital Technology in Learning, as well as Silver for International School with the Most Future-Ready Students.
A school where innovation and global responsibility go hand in hand

Aligned with Taylor’s Schools Standards for Digital Excellence and its three Rs of education (Relevant, Responsible, and Resilient), digital innovation is interwoven into the school’s very fabric. Besides being an Apple Distinguished School since 2011, the school has created programmes like Critical Thinking for an AI World. These teach learners to question what they see online and recognise digital bias, which are essential skills for life in the age of artificial intelligence. Learners are also guided by a specialised Digital Learning Coach, who teaches them how to use their digital skills in an ethical manner.
We love how children get lots of opportunities to use the latest technology as part of their everyday learning, both in and out of the classroom. This can be anything from designing augmented reality apps to visualising historical artefacts, to even creating sensor-driven robots to sort recyclables and building digital Escape Rooms with Arduino. They’re exposed to digital tools at a young age too, with Nursery learners picking up skills like coding from just three years old!
It’s no surprise that the school is tops at preparing learners for the future

Indeed, it’s all about looking forward to the future here at Nexus, and making sure that its learners are ready to take on the world. The school’s vision of educating the youth of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global community rings loud and clear in whatever they do. From Nursery and Kindergarten, they’re introduced to real-world issues and service learning, giving them a widened global perspective. Heavy emphasis is placed on entrepreneurship, with multiple student groups participating (and excelling) in various global competitions.
Better yet, learners are well prepared for what happens after they graduate with an annual NexSteps Careers Fair. Here, they learn from industry leaders hailing from global giants like Apple, NBC, and Google. Career conversations begin in Year 9, and learners enjoy university guidance and mentoring throughout the IBDP. They even get to practise entrepreneurial pitching with the Young Founder’s School!
Sustainability is also at the core of Nexus’ approach

Beyond all that, Nexus also teaches its learners to take good care of our planet. Guided by Nexus’ Care:Mvmt (Care Movement) that teaches learners the importance of caring for themselves, others, and the world, the curriculum touches on topics like climate change and fast fashion. The school strives to reduce its carbon footprint by using recyclable materials for school events, championing reusable and biodegradable cutlery, or prioritising land and sea routes for overseas trips.
From creating award-winning card games that educate players on environmental challenges to harvesting crops from the school’s hydroponic and aeroponic gardens, learners are very much involved in the school’s sustainability approach.
You’ve got our hearts, Nexus International School!
