Do you know your child’s preferred learning style? You can find out all about it at XCL World Academy’s workshops, happening this 19 September at our upcoming international school fair. Keep reading for the deets.
Every child is unique: they have their own personalities and strengths. This also means that they have their own ways of exploring and interacting (and ultimately, learning) with the world around them. We like to think of it as our child’s ‘learning superpower’.
There are a few ‘learning superpowers’ that kids may naturally show. Some are endlessly curious and love to ask questions, while others enjoy solving puzzles and thinking creatively. There are also those who are confident speakers, the ones who love telling stories and sharing ideas. Then there are the empathetic ones, who enjoy helping people around them, taking on new challenges, and good at noticing little details others might miss.
So which ‘learning superpower’ do your kids have? It’ll be good to find out what their preferred learning styles are early on, so you can pick a school with an approach or curriculum that’s a good fit for them. Lucky for you, XCL World Academy (XWA) will be hosting a series of workshops at our upcoming international school fair to help you discover your kids’ ‘learning superpower’.
Date: 19 September 2026
Time: 10am – 4pm (workshops from 11am – 3pm)
Venue: Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Room 335 (Level 3)
Price: Free, pre-registration required
Find your kid’s strength at the hands-on “What Kind of Learner is My Child” workshop

Heads up: finding out your kid’s ‘learning superpower’ can be quite an experience at XWA’s workshop. “What Kind of Learner is My Child” is a hands-on workshop where you can watch your child learn, explore, and solve problems in their own way.
The session starts with storytelling, followed by interactive maths and literacy activity stations that are inspired by the IB learner profile. Your kids will have opportunities to ask questions, share ideas, work together, get creative, and try different things.
While the little ones are busy, take this opportunity to see what grabs their attention, how they approach new concepts, and what they do when they encounter challenges. It’ll tell you lots about the ‘learning superpower’ that they have.
When: 11am – 12pm
Pick up learning activities that you can easily do at home

Learning can happen anywhere – and your home is one of the best places for kids to keep learning. Join XWA’s Learning Lab for a parent-child session that shows you how to turn stories, numbers, patterns, play, and everyday moments into opportunities for the kiddos to learn new things.
Facilitated by XWA’s teachers themselves, you’ll pick up ideas on how to introduce literacy at home as well as teach the kiddos maths through play in this fun session.
When: 2-3pm
Last but not least, let’s talk AI

Like it or not, AI is here to stay. So what are schools doing about it, and how does it affect education as we know today? XWA has a dedicated Learning Lab session to address this: what the ‘age of AI’ means for your child’s learning and how you can navigate it at home. Come ready with all your burning questions!
When: 1.30-2pm
