What Sets This School Apart
Future-Oriented Approach
At XCL World Academy (XWA), we prepare students to become tomorrow’s leaders, changemakers, and innovators. From early years through graduation, our curriculum and learning experiences nurture curiosity, resilience, creativity, and critical thinking, equipping every learner with the skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Personalised Learning
We recognise that every student is unique. With small class sizes and inquiry-based, project-driven learning, our educators design personalised pathways to help each learner explore their strengths, discover passions, and achieve their full potential.
World-Class Curriculum
XWA offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum programme, along with flexible options including Advanced Placement (AP) courses and a globally recognised, WASC accredited High School Diploma. This ensures students have multiple pathways tailored to their ambitions and are well-prepared for leading universities worldwide.
Exceptional IB Results
Our IB Diploma students consistently achieve results above the international benchmark. The Class of 2025 included two students attaining the highest score of 43 points, and eleven percent of students scored 40 points or more, exceeding the global average. Additionally, 21% of graduates earned bilingual diplomas, and students received over 400 university offers and USD 16.44 million in scholarships, reflecting both academic excellence and holistic development.
AI and Technology-Integrated Learning
XWA is a pioneer in AI education, integrating technology into the curriculum from KG2 through Grade 7. Our Innovation Hub houses robotics labs, AI studios, VR suites, green screens, podcasting rooms, 3D printing and fabrication workshops, and Singapore’s first international school eSports arena. Grade 6 students benefit from the SureStart AI programme, mentored by global AI experts and postgraduate scholars, applying real-world projects aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and ethical tech skills, building a future-ready mindset.
Home Language and Bilingual Programmes
Our Home Language programme supports students from KG2 to Grade 5 in preserving their native language and culture, with Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), French, and Spanish options. For Japanese students, additional support includes kanji learning and MYP/IB DP Japanese Language & Literature. Our bilingual programme (English–Chinese) introduces foundational Chinese language skills in Early and Primary Years, fostering cognitive flexibility and global competence.
Foundational English Programme
For international students in Grades 6–9 with limited English proficiency, the intensive Foundational English Programme (FEP) accelerates learning in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, preparing students to transition seamlessly into mainstream IB classes.
Diverse and Inclusive Community
XWA is home to a vibrant, tight-knit community representing over 50 nationalities. Our House System, community service initiatives, and experiential learning programmes cultivate collaboration, empathy, and leadership skills.
Exceptional Educators
Our educators, hailing from over 21 nationalities, bring global expertise and a passion for teaching to every classroom. More than half hold a Master’s degree, and all participate in continuous professional development to ensure world-class learning experiences for every student.
Arts and Sports Excellence
Arts and sports are integral to the XWA experience. Students develop creative and technical skills through visual arts, music, theatre, and annual showcases. Sports programmes encourage health, teamwork, resilience, and competitive excellence, supported by facilities such as a 50m Olympic-sized pool, heated Early Years pool, all-weather football and rugby pitch, basketball courts, tennis courts, climbing wall, and athletics track.
Holistic Development
Beyond academics, students engage in character-building experiences, leadership programmes, and well-being initiatives. Our pastoral care, counselling services, and student development programmes ensure every learner grows socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
XCL Camps and Extra-Curricular Activities
XWA offers diverse opportunities for students aged 3 - 17 to explore interests and develop skills during school breaks. Our ECAs cover academics, arts, sports, and wellbeing, balancing faculty-led and specialist-run activities that inspire exploration, creativity, and personal growth.
University and Career Guidance
From Grade 8, students receive personalised university and career guidance, including expert counselling, pre-university testing, career exploration, and access to alumni and industry mentors. Our support equips students with clarity, confidence, and a global outlook for success at top universities and in transformative careers.
Shaping Next Now
XWA doesn’t just teach knowledge; we ignite potential. Through an immersive, personalised, and future-focused education, our learners graduate as independent thinkers, ethical creators, and globally minded citizens ready to shape tomorrow.
Exciting New Developments
New Early & Primary Years Campus
XCL World Academy (XWA) has opened a dedicated Early Years and Primary Years (EYPY) facility designed to provide age-appropriate, flexible learning spaces that support young learners’ academic, social, and emotional growth. The building features 22 homerooms, science labs, a junior design centre, music and art rooms, a library with over 15,000 books, a gardening centre, a full-sized gym, and additional spaces for sensory, therapy, and counselling needs, with access to an Olympic-sized pool. Purpose-built classrooms, play areas, and schedules are tailored to early childhood pedagogy, fostering independence, collaboration, creativity, and confidence. Natural light, quiet breakout zones, and age-appropriate playgrounds promote wellness, focus, and social-emotional development, while flexible learning areas, pod spaces, and specialised rooms enable dynamic, hands-on experiences across arts, literacy, numeracy, and physical education, giving young learners a secure and inspiring environment to explore, learn, and thrive.
Comprehensive AI Literacy and Innovation Programs
At XCL World Academy (XWA), AI education is embedded at the core of the curriculum, giving every student from KG2 to Grade 7 hands-on experience with coding, robotics, generative and discriminative AI, and ethical technology use. Through programs like Early Start (KG2–Grade 5), SureStart AI (Grade 6), and Creative Robotics + AI (Grade 7), learners engage in inquiry-led projects, real-world problem solving aligned with UN SDGs, and mentorship from global AI experts and universities including MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, and NYU. The curriculum fosters technical fluency, creativity, leadership, and responsible innovation, preparing students to become future-ready thinkers and innovators, while capstone projects and competitions offer opportunities to apply their skills in meaningful, real-world contexts.
