Q&A with Singapore’s pregnancy experts: The Dream Team Talks with an OBGYN, doula, physiotherapist and counsellor

Whoever said that pregnancy is a journey certainly got it right! If you’re expecting a baby – whether it’s your first time as a mum-to-be, or your first time pregnant in Singapore – we’re here with you for the ride. And we have a special announcement of our own here at HoneyKids: we’re super excited to be launching Bumps and Babies, dedicated to even more great reads, tips and expert advice for your pregnancy and baby!

We’re kicking things off with an exclusive, free event on Saturday 3 June at Trehaus that gives you insider access to some of the most wanted experts in Singapore, to support you during your pregnancy and beyond. The Dream Team Talks – Your Pregnancy Journey is the first in a series of eight events in collaboration with renowned support network for mothers, Stork’s Nest Singapore, covering pregnancy, infancy, toddlers and women’s health. Get on board!

This is your chance to hear from Prof Mahesh Choolani, obstetrician and gynaecologist, Tania Grose-Hodge, doula, Danielle Barratt, physiotherapist, and Silvia Wetherell, counsellor on their crucial advice on pregnancy, birth and your wellbeing after birth – and ask them your own burning questions!

Meet our Pregnancy Dream Team:

Professor Mahesh Choolani is a Senior Consultant at The Choolani Clinic at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. As one of Singapore’s leading obstetricians and gynaecologists with a special interest in high-risk pregnancy care and fetal medicine, he is also Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at NUHS National University Health System, and Director of Research at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in NUHS.

Tania Grose-Hodge, doula
Tania has been a doula in Singapore for the last 17 years and has supported hundreds of couples through many different birthing experiences. In addition to teaching childbirth classes and working with clients in Singapore hospitals, Tania is President of the Doulas of Singapore and is currently studying and furthering her qualifications to offer support for women with high risk pregnancies.

Danielle Barratt, physiotherapist
Danielle has over 21 years’ experience in providing holistic physiotherapy care for women of all ages. She is passionate about empowering women to better understand their body through life’s stages. Her areas of expertise are Diastasis Rectus diagnosis and repair, developing core muscle strength, pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation, lower back and pelvic pain, mastitis and more.

Silvia Wetherell, counsellor
Silvia is a counsellor and psychotherapist with a special interest in maternal mental health. Silvia is a Postpartum Support International Coordinator and co-founder of the free support group for mothers, Mindful Mums. Silvia practices integratively to help her clients work through pre and postpartum depression and anxiety, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, difficulties with bonding, relationship adjustment, anger management and parenting issues.
