While our handy guide to Easter and summer camps should give you ideas for the school holidays, we’re here with more suggestions for keeping those little minds ticking while having fun. SmartKids Asia, the region’s largest educational fair is back from 17-19 March, at Singapore Expo Hall 6. Hurrah!
Raising the fun-o-meter are contests, talent shows, art competitions, parenting seminars, storytelling sessions and photo ops with your favourite cartoon characters! While your kids run around, you can enjoy some quiet time with a coffee and participate in the daily lucky draw. NEW EVENTS!
In its sixth edition this year, the organisers have partnered with The Straits Times Schools team and the National Library Board to introduce brand new events. There are also lots of free trial classes that your kids will enjoy!
The Straits Times Young Storymakers Camp: This exciting new addition commemorates the 75th anniversary of the fall of Singapore. Budding journos and storytellers from ages 9-12 step into the shoes of a war reporter, and learn news reporting techniques from The Straits Times journalists. Register early to book your spot.
The Straits Times Parenting Masterclass: While your kids travel back in time, you can book a seat at The Straits Times Parenting Masterclasses. Get some inspiring parenting tips from experts like Sha-En Yeo, a positive psychology coach and award-winning author.
SmartKids Asia Activity Area: Enjoy some hands-on fun with your littlest ones at the Activity Area. Playeum, Pororo Park, and Spurbox have organised cool arts and crafts activities including puppet-making and printmaking that are sure to be a hit with your kiddos.
Meet and greet sessions: Don’t forget to pose with the with the cuties from My Little Pony and Pororo & Friends for lots of hugs and pictures… Pack those cameras and selfie sticks lah!
SmartKids Asia Storyland: Little princes and princesses can travel to lands far far away at SmartKids Asia Storyland, organised in association with the National Library Board. Enjoy plays and storytelling programs that recreate eternal favourites like Goldilocks & The Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel & Gretel, and more. Watch this video to get a sneak peek!
