The GUILD International College is Singapore’s first private inclusive college catering to differently abled young adults, 12-25 years old. Our college is dedicated to helping youths transition into adult life as well as provide a memorable college experience similar to all other junior colleges and universities.
We are an affordable small school with a big heart offering the Australian (VCE) curriculum and strive to create memorable schooling experiences for our students in a supportive and diverse learning environment, and above all by ensuring their well-being.
The GUILD has chosen a set of values which we believe, by upholding, can be the flag bearers of developing and sustaining a good society – creativity, kindness, resilience, respect, and responsibility. We are student-centred and believe that students thrive in a safe community where they are valued for what they can do and not what they cannot do.
The college offers three programmes based on the Victorian F-10 curriculum. The Pathways programme caters to students aged 12 to 16 and offers two learning routes – skills-based or subject-based learning. The Transition programme is for students aged 16 + and is geared towards independent living skills and transition to further education and work training. The Short Certificate programmes are six months long with a focus on skills training for transition to the workplace. Additionally, the college offers the vocational training programmes from ASDAN UK.
We are extending our offering by developing a programme aimed at students who have the potential to succeed in mainstream schooling. This may particularly appeal to students in need of learning support for their studies.
Small class sizes and personalised attention, plus individualised learning plans, help students thrive. Most teaching staff are SEN-trained and use a teaching approach that caters to each child’s needs as we believe that only when students have supportive educators or peers who are respectful, kind and patient, learning is stimulated, and friendships are developed. We also work closely with a few esteemed organizations that provide support for our teachers and students, and our team has access to partners who specialize in Dance, Music, Art, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Life Coaching.
