This Bangkok hotel near Central World brings together smart rooms, family friendly space and a prime location.
Sometimes you’d rather spend your budget on the city. If you want a comfortable and stylish hotel that won’t break the bank, this Bangkok hotel near Central World, Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, delivers just that.
Opened in 2024, it’s the first property in Thailand by the brand, designed in a loft-style space with exposed concrete and industrial touches. Instead of traditional hotel formality, this Bangkok hotel swaps it for a fun and social atmosphere that works well when you’re travelling with kids. On top of that, the hotel is also pet friendly, too!
Set opposite Central World, you can easily pop over for shopping there, or Siam Paragon (with SEA Life Ocean World!), Siam Discovery (with Madame Tussauds wax museum!) and Siam Center are also just around the corner, so you’ll never run out of food or all the best things to do in Bangkok with kids.
BTS Chit Lom is just a short walk away, so it’s easy to get around the city without the hassle of traffic.
The rooms

At this Bangkok hotel near Central World, you can choose from 504 rooms across 6 types – all designed to be compact and comfortable. Entry-level units start at 18 sqm.
Across all accommodations, you’ll find plenty of amenities. I especially love the 55-inch smart TV, with YouTube and Netflix casting capability, the peg walls for hanging clothes and a luggage rack and a folded chair. But the true highlight? There’s this quirky Moxy vintage phone that kids these days might not recognise and you can actually use it to make calls!
During my visit, I had the chance to check out a few room types including Moxy Corner Queen, Moxy Loft and Moxy Deluxe.

The Moxy Loft is 20 sqm and features a queen bed. To help families stay together in the compact space, the hotel has added a bunk bed next to the main one. If you’re travelling as a group of four and don’t mind staying a bit closer together, this room works well. Kids will definitely enjoy the top bunk, where they can climb the ladder and claim the best spot.

But if you prefer a little more space, the Moxy Corner Queen offers 26 sqm with one queen bed. One rollaway bed and one crib are permitted. What makes this room special is the corner view, where you can see different parts of Bangkok and the city skyline.

For even more space, there’s the Moxy Deluxe. This room measures 36 sqm and includes a separate living area. Instead of the folded chair used in other rooms, this one comes with a sofa and plenty of space for tiny folk to move around.

The best part is that if you’re visiting with younger children aged 0–5, they can stay in any room type at no extra cost!
The food
But don’t think that a Bangkok hotel of this size won’t have good places to dine. Moxy Bar and Restaurant is a cosy spot where you can grab meals, snacks and drinks. I tried the food and the menu is packed with kid favourites such as mac and cheese and choux cream.

If your little ones suddenly get hungry (which always seems to happen at the most random times), the Grab & Go counter is open 24 hours, featuring snacks and drinks whenever you need them.
For drinks, you can head to Sato San Rooftop Bar, located on the 32nd floor. It offers Thai-Isaan (Northeast Thailand) and Japanese-inspired bites, craft drinks and DJ vibes.
The kids

While this Bangkok hotel isn’t specifically designed for kids, the playful and energetic design still makes it quite fun for them. The lobby is bright and colourful, with games, communal tables and seating areas.
You’ll find board games, air hockey and pool tables, along with other fun activities to keep them entertained.

The casual atmosphere also means little ones don’t have to worry about being too loud in overly formal spaces.
Because the hotel sits in one of Bangkok’s biggest shopping areas, you’re also just minutes away from indoor playgrounds, cinemas and family attractions inside nearby malls.

The vibe

This Bangkok hotel has a youthful energy that feels refreshing compared to more traditional hotels. The colourful interiors, music and social spaces create a lively atmosphere.
There’s also a gym for quick workouts and shared spaces such as the Library and Plug-In area, where you can catch up on work.
The outdoor area on the 9th floor is also where kids can run around while you enjoy the sweeping city views. Parents can also catch a romantic city sunset up here, too. Every day is Valentine’s Day on this rooftop, with such a breathtaking view.

This is by far, one of those comfortable city stays, right in the heart of the Thai capital that doesn’t require a huge budget, leaving you with more to spend on the city itself.
