From global celebrities to Thai icons, this wax museum delivers easy indoor fun right in the heart of Siam.
Bangkok has plenty of things to do in Bangkok with kids competing for family attention, but Madame Tussauds Bangkok remains one of the easiest wins when you want something central, air-conditioned and genuinely entertaining for a wide age range.
Sitting inside Siam Discovery, it’s compact enough not to overwhelm younger kids, but interactive enough to keep older ones engaged. This is the place for you if you love posing for photos.

The experience
The layout flows well, moving visitors through themed zones featuring a mix of world leaders, international superstars, regional celebrities, athletes and Thai stars. It’s not just a walk-past museum either, the space is designed for interaction.

You can take selfies with the celebrities. You can kick a ball with football players and pose on the stage with music icons, or get up close with world leaders. The sets are where the fun really happens. Many of them are built like mini photo studios with some outfits for you to wear so you can look the part, which makes it very easy to rack up a full camera roll without even trying.

The likeness of the figures varies (as always with wax museums), but the big names are impressively realistic and yes, your kids will absolutely try to touch everything – and that is ok here!

The interactive factor
What keeps Madame Tussauds Bangkok family-friendly is how hands-on it feels. There are interactive screens, themed backdrops and playful installations throughout, which helps break up the “just looking” museum fatigue that younger kids often get.

One highlight for many families is the Marvel zone, where kids can pose with their favourite superheroes in dramatic action setups. It’s high-energy, very photo-friendly and usually one of the busiest corners.
Plan roughly 1.5 to 2 hours for a comfortable visit, longer if your crew takes their posing duties very seriously.

The kids

This works best for kids aged around 5 and up, especially those who enjoy role play, photos and a bit of pop culture recognition. Teens tend to have fun with it too, particularly in the sports and music zones.
It’s fully stroller-friendly, easy to navigate and directly connected to BTS Siam via the mall – which, honestly, makes logistics very parent-approved.
The vibe

Madame Tussauds Bangkok is a more playful photo playground than a traditional museum, and that’s exactly why I love it so much. It’s easy, polished and very low-effort for parents planning a city day out.
Is it a full-day attraction? No. But as a fun, central, air-con activity that pairs perfectly with Siam shopping or lunch plans, it absolutely earns its spot on the family outing list.
