With weather like this, sometimes you just want somewhere to chill with your little ones. Sure, you can stick to the usual things to do in Bangkok with kids, but why not switch things up and head to places that help you stay cool?

1. Indoor playgrounds

Indoor playgrounds are a win if you want to escape the heat while the kids stay entertained. These air-conditioned spots are filled with soft play areas, toys and fun activities, while you can relax in comfort. Places like MeLand, HarborLand and Playmondo are in malls, so it’s easy to drop by. You can even head to Yoyoland for an air-conditioned theme park experience. And Playerbox lets kids enjoy go-kart fun without being out in the sun.

2. IconSiam

Escaping the heat and staying cool in Bangkok might lead you to a mall, but there’s something about IconSiam that keeps both you and the kids excited every time you visit. This riverside destination blends Thai culture with immersive experiences. You can explore Sooksiam on the ground floor, where a floating market comes to life indoors or catch the multimedia water show at River Park in the evening. The 6th-floor exhibition hall hosts rotating pop-ups, with the One Piece Cafe currently running, alongside seasonal events such as the Summer Kite Playground.

3. Ice-skating rinks

4. Snow Town at Dream World

Dream World might be an outdoor theme park, but its Snow Town is where you can escape the heat in Bangkok all year round. Step inside and you’re instantly in a winter wonderland, with temperatures dropping to -5°C to -8°C. Kids can go sledding down snowy slopes, build snowmen, make snow angels or explore icy igloos. There are also cute photo spots with polar bears, penguins and snowy houses. It’s probably the only place where you can enjoy real snow right in the city.

6. Mega Plaza

If your little ones are more into toys than vintage finds, Mega Plaza is another spot to escape the heat in an indoor flea market setting. Built on the old Saphan Lek site, this six-storey mall is packed with toys, collectibles and gaming gear. It’s known for its huge range, from everyday items to rare collector pieces.
