One World International School is upping the ante with a new campus for young learners in the Newton area, which will be opening its doors in August 2025*.
All our Central families, listen up. We’ve got some fab news to share: on top of its Nanyang and Digital campuses in Jurong and Punggol respectively, One World International School (OWIS) is opening up a brand new campus right in the heart of our city. We’ve just received word that OWIS Newton is in the works, and it’ll be opening its doors really soon in August 2025*.
On top of its fantastic location just minutes from Little India MRT, OWIS Newton is bringing its tried-and-tested formula that parents — like us! — can’t get enough of. So, what exactly can you expect at this new campus?
Exposure to the same steadfast OWIS values

OWIS prides itself on a stellar set of values that are practised across its two (soon three) campuses. First and foremost, kindness and compassion are at the heart of everything it does. Respect, empathy, and open communication are key, creating an environment where students can feel valued, heard, and safe.
The school has a delightfully international student community too, with more than 70 nationalities from all around the world. And it shows: OWIS clinched silver for ‘Diversity and Community’ award, and its Digital Campus snagged gold for ‘Best New Campus’ in the 2024 Education Awards!
Stellar leadership
A ship is a mere vessel without its captain. Similarly, a school is simply another building without an excellent principal at its helm. Luckily, OWIS Newton will be led by Mrs Angela Henderson, who has proven that both students and families can expect nothing but the best.
Previously the Principal of Primary School at OWIS Digital Campus, Mrs Henderson has everything OWIS-related at the back of her hand. She has more than 30 years of experience in the education sector, and has received numerous accolades. TLDR: Rest assured that OWIS Newton is in more than capable hands.
Child-led learning that never stops

Learning is, first and foremost, about the individual child. In that light, shouldn’t the students take more autonomy in their learning process? This is exactly how OWIS Newton will function: with an inquiry-led curriculum for Early Childhood and Primary School, students will be prompted to ask questions, deep-dive into topics addressed in their everyday lessons, and take ownership of their learning from start to end.
To make lessons fun and interesting, students will dabble in lots of hands-on projects, learn to work as a team, and develop real-world skills that will stay with them for life.
Multilingual opportunities
Kids pick up languages so quickly when they’re young; hence, language programmes are one of the top things we look out for when picking a school. We love how the students of OWIS Newton can take on an impressive programme that allows them to learn languages like Japanese*, Chinese, and French! How’s that for size?

We have to admit, the new campus looks gorgeous from the artist’s impression, and we simply can’t wait to see it in real life. If you’re keen to learn more, sign up for an OWIS Newton introduction session with Mrs Henderson herself. Hear all what she has in store for the new campus, and how it’ll benefit you and your family.
