Established in 2006, Mulberry Learning is an award-winning Reggio-inspired preschool with 13 locations around Singapore, offering Infant Care and Child Care programmes for children aged 18 months to 6 years. In the second half of 2021, they will add two more preschools to the brand at Bukit Batok and Punggol. By the first quarter of 2022, they will add two more preschools to the brand at Punggol and Dover.

As the world’s first and only preschool network certified by the USA for the Habits of Mind™ framework, Mulberry Learning’s proprietary curriculum has been voted as “Singapore’s Best Holistic Curriculum” for 4 years running by leading parenting publications.

Holistic curriculum with globally recognised pedagogies

Mulberry Learning employs a holistic curriculum that integrates the best of globally recognised pedagogies: Habits of Mind™ (USA), Reggio Emilia (Italy), and Multiple Intelligences (USA). Every child can learn, grow and develop in a fun bilingual learning experience like no other through a well-rounded curriculum that inculcates core skills and knowledge, alongside intelligent thinking habits and dispositions needed to excel in the future world.

Recognising that a child’s early years are exceptionally important, the Habits of Mind framework helps instil intelligent thinking habits in children, enabling them to be more confident when confronted with challenges. While the framework has long been adopted by Singapore’s Ministry of Education to groom the top 1% of students under its Gifted Education Programme, Mulberry Learning is the first and only preschool network globally certified by the Institute for Habits of Mind.

Reggio Emilia, regarded by education experts as the only global pedagogy able to truly ignite a child’s love for learning due to its child-directed approach, complements the Habits of Mind and shapes the way Mulberry Learning crafts its learning environment and programmes. Unlike the usual top-down instructional approach where students are fed with information, our Reggio-Inspired Inquiry Project encourages children to ask questions, research, test out hypotheses, derive answers, and present their findings to their peers; just like a little scientist!

Children are given numerous opportunities at Mulberry Learning to explore their various intelligences. The wide range of hands-on activities taps into a child’s bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, while the extensive S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) enrichment programmes nurture their spatial, musical, interpersonal, and intrapersonal intelligences, all while having fun!

To enhance a child’s linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligences and to prepare them for their Primary school years, Mulberry Learning teaches its core signature programmes like Literacy Fun™, Math Quest™ and Chinese Master™ help children acquire an expressive vocabulary of over 4,500 English words, over 2,000 Chinese words, 80 Chinese idioms, and 16 Chinese poems by age 6.

Unique International Friendship Programme

Our special International Friendship Programme fosters interactions amongst children from Mulberry Learning preschools across 4 countries – Singapore, China, Australia, and Panama. Through video-conferencing, not only will children learn from diverse cultures and appreciate cultural nuances, they can also make new friends across the globe.

Enter Mulberry Learning and be amazed! Warm, homely, and wondrous spaces abound in each centre as the entire preschool is carefully crafted to create a physical canvas that stimulates children’s senses, unleashes their innate creativity, and encourages their natural desire to explore!

Mulberry Learning’s design philosophy to bring the outdoors indoors exemplifies itself in the central indoor playground located in the heart of its preschools at Braddell and Shenton Way, creating a vibrant oasis for children to learn and play in! Centres like Changi Business Park, Namly and Bukit Batok are equipped with their very own outdoor spaces and outdoor playground, the Kallang centre is situated by the river, and you can find a large park next to their Fusionopolis centre where children get to embark on regular nature walks.

Dedicated teachers with >250 hours of extensive training

To provide the best possible care and learning experience for every child, Mulberry Learning carefully selects qualified educators who are passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic about early childhood education. Teacher-student ratios are kept small to enable effective teaching and learning for each individual child.

Mulberry Learning’s teachers undergo over 250 hours of extensive training and in 2020, in line with ECDA’s announcement to review preschool teachers’ professional development, the i-Inspire programme was launched to boost its educators’ competencies.
