ACM celebrates a new animal-themed exhibition Once Upon A Time in Asia – The Animal Race and its first children’s book.
It’s an animal race out there! Get your kids to the finish line at ACM’s exploratory exhibition where they will unwrap secrets about animals, real and imaginary.
This specially curated exhibition features original interactive ensembles, inspired by objects in the ACM collection, as well as specimens and replicas from Science Centre Singapore.
Using their five senses, children will learn all about the animals of the Chinese zodiac: they can get the scoop on animal poop, plan a meal treat for their fave zodiac animal and look out for storytellers as they spin animal tales!
What’s more, your kids can look forward to exciting hands-on workshops and shaking their bon bons to the beat with animal-inspired moves. With various play zones and activities at the exhibition, kids will definitely have a blast at their day at the museum.
As part of Children’s Season 2015, ACM is also launching its first children’s book: The Missing Mouse. Starring Ganesha the Elephant God and his bestie, Mr Mouse, this fantastical tale brings the museum’s artefacts to life. Kids can join in the hunt for the mouse at one of the special book readings, which will be held at the Learning Gallery from 2-5 June, from 1130am to 12pm.
