You’ve probably already heard of the term “respectful parenting”. It’s a parenting approach based on a mutually respectful parent-child relationship, prioritising connection with their children and treating them the way they – adults – would want to be treated. Sounds great? Unfortunately, there are some misconceptions about this parenting approach. To help you understand respectful parenting better, we’ve invited expert parenting educators from EtonHouse International School and Pre-School to address some of the most common myths about this parenting approach in our next FREE webinar:
- Does respectful parenting mean allowing your child to do whatever they want?
- Is it true that children need appropriate punishments to learn from their mistakes?
- And is respectful parenting only suitable for certain ‘types’ of families and children?
We’ll be discussing all these and more with Lisamarie Hughes and Natalie Loh, Principals of EtonHouse International School Sentosa and EtonHouse Pre-School Upper Bukit Timah, respectively. You’ll also get to drop in all the burning questions you have about respectful parenting in our form below, and we’ll try our best to get them answered during the webinar.
