GIIS welcomes students from ages 3-18 years from all over the world, offering multiple international academic pathways from Kindergarten to 12. With the support of our experienced and dedicated teachers, a technologically-advanced learning environment, and a well-rounded educational approach, we equip our students with knowledge, skills and attitude to become global citizens.
More than 3000 students study in our two campuses in Singapore – SMART Campus, Punggol and East Coast Campus. Since its founding in 2002, GIIS has nurtured 21st-century skills and an international perspective through an innovative, collaborative, dynamic and positive environment that empowers our students to achieve their full potential.
Our youngest learners, from 3 to 6 years of age, can either opt for play-based, inquiry-driven IB Early Years in IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) or our customised Montessori curriculum, Global Montessori Plus (GMP). Both the programmes prepare preschoolers for seamless transition to primary school.
In primary years, students (ages 6-11) can opt for agency-led IB PYP, and as they progress through middle school and high school, they can choose Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE (ages 11-16), and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) for ages 17-18. All along, from Grades 1-12, our students can opt for the Indian CBSE curriculum.
Our state-of-the-art Punggol campus in Singapore, Asia’s first SMART campus, boasts of over 60 (shared) skills studios, including TV and radio studios, ceramic and culinary labs, a Design and Technology studio, performing arts and sports facilities, and digital classrooms, all designed to deliver a tech-powered education.
With more than 110 IBDP World Toppers and Near-Perfect Scorers, along with over 1,000 IGCSE A* and A achievers, over 300 GIIS graduates have secured placements in Top 20 global universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UC Berkeley, NUS, and NTU in the past five years alone.

Exciting New Developments
GIIS now offers IB Early Years for ages 3-6 years as part of the IB PYP programme, which helps in seamless transition of the students into the primary grades. In the PYP Early Years, where play is the primary driver for inquiry, students are offered opportunities to demonstrate their thinking, creativity and curiosity. Through play, children gain agency to explore concepts, follow their interests, and investigate questions in a dynamic, engaging way.
As our students develop a strong sense of identity, gaining the skills and confidence to reflect, engage, and contribute meaningfully to their own and others' learning and development.
GIIS also offers a full-day Kindergarten programme for children aged 3 to 6. The “Extended Global Montessori Plus” programme from 9 am to 3.30 pm incorporates the Montessori approach, while adapting modern best practices in preschool education.
The 6-hour programme for Nursery, Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 students has been thoughtfully designed to include:
- Language and mathematics lessons, environmental awareness, music and movement, practical life lessons, motor skills development and sensorial exercises in the morning
- Story-telling or a manipulatives session every afternoon
- Dance, Speech & Drama, Art, Physical Education and Creative sessions involving Design Thinking and Maker Spaces on a rotational basis every afternoon
This programme provides preschoolers a good balance of academic and skills development. Social skills and self-confidence is developed as children have more time to interact with their peers. There are also many opportunities for young children to sharpen their cognitive and sensory skills through this programme. Our specialised Kindergarten educators personalise every child’s preschool journey, within the safe and child-friendly environment of our campus.
