Innovative school GESS futureproofs its students with cutting-edge STEM programmes – learn more about how it nurtures success at its online open house.
There’s no doubt about it: many of today’s most in-demand occupations are STEM-related. In case you didn’t know, the buzzword STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and we love how these subjects encourage kids to be both creative and critical thinkers. As parents, we know kids are innately curious and observant, even at a young age – and what better way to encourage this than through STEM? This is where the folks at GESS come in. The school knows nurturing these valuable skills will help our kids achieve future success, which is why it’s created super-cool innovative STEM initiatives, like the Junior Engineer Academy. Here’s what else you need to know:
The Junior Engineer Academy at GESS
Did you know GESS is one of the first international schools in the world that is part of the Deutsche Telekom Foundation’ Junior Engineering Network? This means the lucky students at GESS get access to the pool of engineering knowledge in Europe and can kickstart a future in engineering, starting as early as Grade 8 and 9. Through this programme, they’ll be equipped with the skills and confidence to explore the awesome world of engineering. It even allows them to learn directly from industry experts – lucky kids!
A solid foundation
The Junior Engineer Academy is just one part of the solid IB (PYP, MYP and DP) and German curriculum that the school offers from Grade 1 to Grade 12. If there’s one thing GESS knows, it’s that offering proven high-quality curricula will guarantee success in the future. And in our constantly evolving world, that’s definitely a plus!
