Imagine an English lesson that includes vlogging and podcasting - we take a sneak peek to see what learning at Euphoria Education is all about…
It goes without saying that children learn better when they enjoy their lessons. Not only are engaging lessons more memorable, but they are also capable of cultivating a joy of learning among kids.
This is exactly what Euphoria Education offers its students: fun and wholesome English programmes that not only teaches them the basics of the language, but how to master it with confidence. The enrichment centre prides itself on using a unique approach to teaching English, delivering fun and interactive lessons while challenging its students academically at the same time.
What’s an English lesson like at Euphoria?
Every lesson is a surprise at Euphoria. On top of keeping its lessons aligned to the rigour and standards of local Singaporean schools, the centre also ensures that lessons are taught in an interactive manner – similar to the teaching methods used in international schools. In its Let’s Read, Let’s Write, and Let’s Perform classes, students will be tasked to create podcasts and vlogs which will be uploaded onto Euphoria’s podcast and YouTube channels, as well as its newsletters. Just imagine the great feeling kids get when they see their final work being showcased and celebrated! This motivates them to want to learn and do more with the language in and outside of class.
While these activities definitely make lessons really engaging, they’re more than just fun and games. The educators at Euphoria believe that lessons can be taught more effectively when they’re conveyed through content and tools that are relevant to its students. This means using media that kids are most familiar with these days, such as the latest songs, movies, YouTube videos, and even Apple Podcasts.
Besides helping students to master reading and writing in English, these cool class activities also develop their confidence in speaking the language as well. For example, creating English podcasts and vlogs can teach students how to communicate clearly and effectively. They’ll also learn how to express themselves creatively and understand the importance of body language as well. Through a mix of individual and group projects, Euphoria teaches students soft skills like collaboration too. These are all crucial 21st century skills that children need to stay competitive in school and beyond.
What do the kids think about their lessons at Euphoria?
It’s really no surprise that Euphoria’s students can’t get enough of their lessons and always want to come back for more. As they progress, the students gain more confidence and fluency in English – which is especially heartening given that some of them are non-native English speakers.
