Is your kiddo keen on getting their ears pierced? Retire the clip-ons and go for the real deal at these ear piercing shops in Singapore, with kids' ear piercing services!
A child’s first piercing is a momentous occasion! I remember getting my ears pierced at a gold shop in Geylang when I was about four years old. While some parents prefer to get their baby’s ears pierced as a newborn (so they won’t remember the pain), I felt more comfortable waiting for my daughter to want her ears pierced before going for it. I began to introduce the idea of ear piercings to her since she was about three years old and was usually met with immediate resistance, so I started to accept that she may want to do it only when she’s much older, or not at all. But then something changed when she turned five and she told me out of the blue that she wanted to get piercings – I asked, “Are you sure?” and when the answer was a resounding yes, I went on the hunt for a suitable ear piercing shop nearby!

Things to consider before getting your kids’ ears pierced
Does your child want their ears pierced? As mentioned above, some parents don’t mind arranging to get their baby’s ears pierced at the infant stage so that they won’t remember the pain. But if you’d like to give your kids the chance to consent to the procedure, you can wait till they’re older and are able to let you know when they’re interested in getting their ears pierced.
Needle piercing or gun piercing? Needle piercings are highly recommended by piercing pros, but may come with its own set of challenges in terms of pain scale. Some professionals feel that gun piercings may be too harsh on kids’ sensitive skin and tissue, but there have also been many cases of gun piercings healing well and quickly. Do your research before you find a suitable ear piercing shop for your kids!
Piercing after care: Swelling and redness are normal after piercings, and most piercers recommend taking care of the area with a simple warm saltwater solution. Most ear piercing shops will explain the best after-care methods and provide suitable products to care for the piercings. Ear piercings typically take about two months to heal fully.
Ear piercing shops in Singapore
Two Seconds Poke: Ear piercing shop in Woodlands

I came across Two Seconds Poke on Instagram and was glad to find out that they’re located in my neighbourhood. After a quick message via DM to check that they’re able to do kids’ ear piercings, we popped down to their humble little space in an industrial part of Woodlands. The piercer, Shi, welcomed us and showed us the range of stainless steel studs that we could choose from – my daughter picked out a simple holographic ‘screw ball’ style and we were done 20 minutes later. Shi was really professional and encouraged me to have my daughter on my lap so she’d feel more assured, and while there were some tears shed during the needle piercing (“Mummy I didn’t know it would hurt!”) we soldiered on once she calmed down and my little one was all smiles after getting candy and seeing how pretty the new earrings looked on her. Shi also talked us through the right after-care methods and even has her own affordable range of saltwater sprays for daily cleaning of the fresh piercings.
