Calling all parents with children aged two to six years – don’t miss the Canadian International School’s (CIS) Enchanted Garden Party, held on 25 February, 9am-12pm, at the the school’s Lakeside campus! What’s more, you’ll also be one of the first to explore its brand new kindergarten wing and huge 2,600sqm Outdoor Discovery Centre, designed to support play-based learning beyond the classroom.
Participate in family-friendly educational activities, led by CIS teachers, for a glimpse into their unique teaching approach:
- Enjoy enchanting children’s stories in multiple languages at the Story Corner.
- Pick up Math concepts like measuring and capacity through barefoot play at Betty the Butterfly’s Mud Kitchen.
- Conquer Charlie the Caterpillar’s Obstacle Course and learn about the school’s PE programme.
- Pot herbs at Gertie Grasshopper’s Eco Garden while discovering nature’s wonders.
- Craft your own insect crown at Aaron the Ant’s Arts Station or create an ice sculpture – all in the comfort of the air-conditioned glass arts pod.
Before the morning ends, you’ll be able to have had a chat with CIS principals and teachers about its kindergarten programme. You’ll also get to see the facilities this new wing offers, including an instructional bakery, a junior library, and an indoor swimming pool.
