Is Blue House’s unique offering and community right for your family? Take a look at the inspired differences its team prides itself on.
Our kids never fail to amaze us. From the moment we first hold our little ones in our arms, we’re hooked. Watching them go from tiny bubs to competent, curious and confident children has us feeling all the feels. So how can we help them connect to the world around them and develop into the awesome human beings we know they’re capable of becoming? One important part is laying the right foundations in their early years education, and ensuring our kids are supported, inspired, nurtured and guided in the best possible way.
That’s where Blue House comes in. Through the different programs it offers at both its Blue House Infant & Toddler Ateliers and Blue House Nursery & International Preschool, children from as young as six months up to six years are catered for. Whether it’s parent- and caregiver-accompanied playgroups, classes and drop-in sessions or nursery, preschool and kindergarten options, its offerings and flexibility are a huge drawcard for parents.
So why is Blue House different?
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, Blue House subscribes to an emergent curriculum – a collaborative teaching philosophy where educators respond to children’s interests to create meaningful learning experiences. That means your little ones have opportunities to build on their knowledge based on their own interests. And, over at the two Ateliers, children are provided with interactive, sensory-driven experiences, where they can explore the world around them, build connections and broaden their minds. Pretty awesome, we think.
A unique way of learning
Of course, it’s not just this empowering approach and the flexibility of programs on offer that make Blue House stand out. There is a strong community ethos: parents are actively invited into the classrooms to share their knowledge and skill sets. In this way, they work together with the children to help support the development of projects and research. Hurrah, say us! And did we mention the Pantry? You can refuel at the beautiful onsite cafe space that’s been built by parents for parents… and they’ve even created their own special coffee blend (make ours a large!).
Not only that, but the classrooms and outdoor spaces have been carefully curated to provide rich opportunities to feed children’s curiosity and connect with nature. Children are actively encouraged to explore the outdoor environments and have the opportunity to spontaneously explore the local community through accompanied walks through nature and the playing fields surrounding Blue House. Play, imagination and creativity is further enhanced by the in-house art, music and mandarin specialist educators. In a nutshell, it’s thumbs ups all around!
