Grab your beer, pick a seat, and get ready to learn how to do that Anna or Jasmine braid so you can impress your little girl for her next school day. All dads are welcome – no prior hairstyling experience required.
You’ve probably heard of the viral Pints and Ponytails event, where dads come together to learn how to style their daughters’ hair over a drink and casual chat about fatherhood. It has since inspired a global movement, where men around the world feel encouraged to get together to swap stories about the ups and downs of being a father, show an initiative to share some of the mental load at home, and most importantly, wanting to connect with their little girls more.
Naturally, we at HoneyKids want to be part of this movement as well! As parents ourselves, we know that many fathers want to be more present in their children’s lives. Which is why we’re organising a Beers & Braids session, and we’re inviting dads in Singapore to be part of it.

What to expect from our Beers & Braids session
Held at the newest microbrewery and bar in town, People People Brewing Co, you’ll be learning how to do four different hairstyles from our braiding instructors while enjoying two hours of free flow drinks, crispy chicken tenders, and bottomless nachos.
No worries if you’re attempting hairstyling for the first time – our instructors will be kickstarting the session with simple ones like tying a ponytail and basic three-strand braid, before moving to the tricky fishtail braid (like the one on Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games). And if you’re up for it, we’ll have a mini braiding competition at the end, where the dad who completes a fishtail braid the fastest walks home with a prize!
You’ll also get to hear from a parenting educator on how you can care for yours and your partner’s wellbeing. Got questions or a story to share? The floor is open in this no-judgment-zone event. Last but not least, we have some TLC for you in the form of an express eyebrow and beard trim by professional barber, Nic from Shelter Shelter.
