First up, Stan Lee wannabes can learn all about the basics of illustrating comics and cartoons at Cartoons & Comics Masterclasses with Hong Shin (29 May – 30 June), led by local artist Quek Hong Shin. Becoming a bona fide superhero starts from within and if you’d like to empower your little ones through creativity, Superhero Me Sundays (10, 17 and 24 June) is where you should be. This fun and inclusive programme includes a series of creative craft activities that’ll teach ‘em how to express their inner heroes, such as making their very own armour, crafting friendship bracelets for their friends and designing a DIY kaleidoscope.

Even ordinary folks can save the day: Watch how unassuming characters like Cicak Man and Gagamboy defend their loved ones from nefarious foes at this free screening of superhero films.
