We love that Chatsworth International School recognises the importance of the arts in a well-rounded curriculum - just one reason why it won the prestigious Best Arts Program award!
As parents, we can all agree that there should be space for creativity and the arts in every school curriculum – at the very least, it’s a vital part of every child’s educational development. That’s why in this year’s Singapore Education Awards 2021, the Best Arts Program award was so highly sought after. This award recognises a school that values the arts in all forms, encouraging its students to think outside the box. Its well-trained staff and extensive facilities support this journey, helping students to fulfil their artistic potentials. It’s no surprise then that Chatsworth International School emerged victorious as a Gold Winner in this prestigious category. Here’s why its arts programme was deemed the very best in Singapore by our panel of expert judges…
Why Chatsworth International School won the Best Arts Program award
Chatsworth International School’s thriving arts programme is central to its triumph. The school recognises how vital the arts is in helping students improve visual analysis skills, giving them room to learn from mistakes, making critical judgements, and above all – being creative! Pupils get to learn from their experienced educators as well as subject matter experts, including international producer and actor, Neil Farrelly. They also get to showcase their endeavours through various activities. These include Chatsworth’s awards presentation held at the end of the academic year, the school’s mini-gallery and yearbook, and even the International Schools Art Exhibition. Psst, one of the school’s graduates even won Best Young Filmmaker at the Indie Short Fest in August 2019. That’s a true testament to its arts programme, we say!

Firstly, we love how Chatsworth values each individual and encourages them to find their purpose in the world around them. We also applaud Chatsworth’s mission, which is to inspire, educate, and enlighten. These key characteristics form the school’s core pillars and education philosophy. Apart from the arts, sports also plays an integral role in the school’s curriculum. Chatsworth students can choose from myriad sports such as cross country, touch rugby, and ultimate frisbee. Let’s not forget the school campus itself, which is located near the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Honestly, there are too many things we love about Chatsworth to list down!
