A newly opened spot in Bangkok offering outdoor things to do with kids and space for pets to play.
Located inside one of Bangkok’s Best Parks, this pet-friendly space is designed to make city life better for both families and their furry friends, offering a safe, well-planned green area where pets can play and people can relax together.

What is Lumpini Dog Park?

This new venue is a purpose-built outdoor space designed for dogs and cats to run, play and socialise safely, while owners can relax in a calm, landscaped environment inspired by Japanese garden design.
Covering over 2 rai (around 3,200 square metres), the park was previously a car park before being fully redeveloped. The project received funding and construction support from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, with architectural design by Taisei Corporation, a well-known engineering company to ensure the space blends with the natural surroundings of Lumpini Park.
The renovation includes new lighting systems, irrigation, upgraded landscaping and expert tree management to prioritise safety, comfort and aesthetics.
Inside Lumpini Dog Park: What families can expect

Lumpini Dog Park has been carefully planned to meet international safety standards while remaining welcoming and easy to use for first-time visitors.
Free-run zones for dogs
Dogs can run and play freely in securely fenced areas, allowing them to burn energy without leashes.
Separate areas by dog size
To reduce risk and stress, the park clearly separates large dogs and small dogs, ensuring safer interactions for all breeds.
Japanese-inspired layout
The park’s design follows Japanese principles of simplicity and harmony, creating a peaceful atmosphere for both pets and owners.
Direct access from the green bridge
Visitors coming from the Green Bridge on Wireless Road no longer need to walk around fences. A new direct access point connects straight into Lumpini Park, making visits more convenient.
A shared space for other pets
While designed mainly for dogs, cats are also welcome to come along for a stroll, offering a more inclusive pet-friendly space.
Why families are excited about Lumpini Dog Park

What makes Lumpini Dog Park special is its location and intention. Set in one of Bangkok’s most iconic parks, it offers a rare chance for pets and owners to enjoy an outdoor space without leaving the city. With Japanese-inspired design, clear zoning and easy access, it’s quickly becoming a new favourite for Bangkok’s four-legged community.
Why Lumpini Dog Park matters to families in Bangkok

As Bangkok becomes increasingly dense, dedicated outdoor spaces for pets are becoming essential. Lumpini Dog Park represents more than just a place for dogs to run. It’s part of a broader effort to create pet-inclusive urban living.
By converting unused infrastructure into a green, functional space, the project supports healthier routines, encourages responsible pet ownership and strengthens community life in the heart of the city.
