Thailand just gave us a fresh reason to add new pins to our travel wishlist.
This time the inspiration comes from Lalisa “LISA” Manobal, one of the four faces of BLACKPINK who has been named Amazing Thailand Ambassador for 2026.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand didn’t just spotlight the obvious. Instead, the campaign highlights 15 destinations across the country that capture what Thailand does best: culture, nature, quiet beauty and moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.
Here’s everywhere featured in the new promo video and why you should add them to your travel plans.
1. Wat Chedi Luang, Chiang Mai

A 14th-century temple in the heart of the Old City, Wat Chedi Luang is an easy cultural stop for families exploring Chiang Mai. Its towering brick chedi [stupa] sparks curiosity in kids, while parents appreciate its historical significance.
2. Wat Phumin, Nan

Famous for its delicate murals, including the iconic “Whispering Lovers” painting, this temple introduces children to Thai art and storytelling in a gentle, visual way. Nan itself offers a slower, more local pace ideal for relaxed family travel.
3. Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai

The rice terrace setting is the highlight here. Even if not staying overnight, the landscape offers a chance for children to see traditional farming scenery up close as a refreshing contrast to city life.

4. Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, Chiang Mai

The canopy walkway lets kids feel like explorers among the treetops, while the glasshouses introduce them to ecosystems from around the world. Educational without feeling like a classroom.
5. Ban Pangma O Rice Terraces, Chiang Mai

Best visited during the green season, these terraces are breathtaking and grounding. Older children especially benefit from seeing rural agricultural life firsthand.
6. Sapan, Nan

A peaceful mountain village surrounded by misty valleys. Think homestays, slow mornings, and minimal screens. Ideal for families wanting to disconnect and reconnect.
7. Phu Langka, Phayao

Known for dramatic sea-of-mist views at sunrise. Best suited for families with older kids and the early wake-up call is worth it for that unforgettable mountain panorama.
8. Phu Chi Fa, Chiang Rai

Another iconic sunrise viewpoint along the Laos border. The short hike to the peak feels adventurous but manageable for active families.
9. Wat Phra Phutthabat Suthawat, Lampang

Lampang’s newest landmark is a cluster of chedi’s perched along a limestone mountaintop. Getting there isn’t effortless. You begin with a steep stair climb carved along the cliff face, followed by more than 300 iron steps but the views are guaranteed to be worth it.
10. Thi Lo Su Waterfall, Tak

One of Thailand’s largest waterfalls. Reaching it requires planning, but the reward is a powerful nature experience that reminds children how vast and wild Thailand can be.
11. Wat Phra That Sorn Kaew, Phetchabun

This mountaintop temple sits surrounded by the layered peaks of Khao Kho National Park, where mountain views stretch endlessly in every direction.
12. Red Lotus Sea, Udon Thani

A boat ride here feels magical and calm where you get to be surrounded by a sea of red lotus flowers, birds and nature. We recommend getting there before 11am since the lotus flowers will close themselves up when the sun gets too hot.
13. Wat Arun, Bangkok

Also known as Temple of Dawn, it is one of Bangkok’s most iconic riverside landmarks, rising majestically along the Chao Phraya River. Known for its towering central prang decorated with intricate porcelain and seashell mosaics
14. Koh Talu, Rayong

A quieter island escape on the east coast compared to Thailand’s more crowded beaches. Snorkelling and soft sand make it ideal for family downtime.
15. Samed Nang Chee Viewpoint, Phang Nga

Overlooking dramatic limestone karsts in Phang Nga Bay, this viewpoint delivers one of southern Thailand’s most photographed vistas. Best suited for families comfortable with short uphill walks.
