This five-star hotel brings together skyline views, generous space and family-friendly fun.
Bangkok might be fast-paced and buzzing with energy, but high above the city’s busiest streets, Park Hyatt Bangkok offers families a calm and comfortable place to recharge. Directly connected to Central Embassy, this five-star hotel feels like a peaceful city hideaway, blending beautiful design, eye-catching art, delicious dining and the kind of warm Thai hospitality that makes travelling with kids feel easy, without sacrificing luxury.
The rooms

Guests can choose from 222 rooms and suites, all featuring large floor-to-ceiling windows and calming interiors in soft cream and taupe tones with subtle Thai accents. Entry-level rooms start at a spacious 48 sqm which is more than enough space for a family to stretch out and just hang. Each bathroom features a beautiful lotus bloom hand-carved into the stone wall.
I had the chance to check out both the King Deluxe and the Ambassador Suite.

The King Deluxe feels airy and thoughtfully laid out across 55 sqm. There’s a plush king bed, a comfortable lounge corner and those dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that make you feel like you’re floating above the city. The bathroom is spacious, with a soaking tub.

For families, the Ambassador Suite is a pick. Spanning 177 sqm, there’s loads of space to spread out, with a separate living room, a dining area, a kitchen and even a private gym. Little guests get their own special touches too. You can request a cute in-room play tent, toys, baby crib and baby bathtub as well as a breastfeeding set for infants.

The food

Embassy Room La Marina serves Italian coastal dishes with a focus on fresh seafood and quality ingredients. There’s also a Sunday Brunch where you can enjoy unlimited a la carte dishes from midday to 3pm.
Living Room is bright and welcoming, offering a mix of international and Thai favourites throughout the day, from breakfast to afternoon tea and light evening bites.
For drinks, The Bar is a cosy spot for wine and cocktails, while Penthouse Bar + Grill is ideal for a night out, with grilled meats, fresh seafood, creative cocktails and sweeping city views from the rooftop terrace.

The kids

The outdoor pool will be the first place kids want to go. Set high above the city, the 40-metre saltwater pool is big enough for proper splashing around, with plenty of space to swim, play and cool off. Surrounded by tropical greenery, it has a resort-style vibe, even though you’re right in the middle of Bangkok.
But if the little ones need to burn off some energy indoors, just hop in the elevator up to the 6th floor and head to Open House. It’s a spacious co-living style area with a food hall, bookshop, cafes, art displays and loads of spots to sit and relax.

The highlight for families is the play area, open from 10:30am–8pm, featuring slides, climbing structures and a ball pit. Even better, they get one hour of free entry per child when you spend B400 at Open House.
The vibe

Park Hyatt Bangkok strikes a balance between luxury and comfort for families. It doesn’t shout “kids’ resort,” but that’s part of its charm. Instead, it offers generous space, thoughtful service and a peaceful retreat above the city where families can unwind after a busy day in Bangkok.
