Muse Arts’s music classes are unique, educational, super-fun, and definitely leaves kids keen for more. One question: Can we sign up too?
Heard of the Mozart effect and the potential of music to boost your bub’s brain development? While there’s no sure-fire way to show that early exposure to music will turn your kids into the next Einstein or Newton, we can’t deny its many benefits. After all, music is an amazing form of self-expression, and who doesn’t enjoy kicking back to a great tune? At Muse Arts, they’ve discovered the perfect formula to making music lessons interesting yet educational for your young ‘uns.

The Muse Arts Methodology
Kids should definitely have a blast during music lessons, but you also want class to be constructive, right? Muse Art’s methodology of “utilizing music as a form of communication, movement as a form of expression” not only helps children in their learning and character development, but enables them to apply this to other art forms. In fact, their method has proven so popular that it’s been endorsed by preschools and childcare centres like Agape Preschool, Little Footprints, PCF and countless others!
The reason for its popularity? Quite possibly the school’s arsenal of dedicated curriculum writers, who are not only preschool teachers but experienced artists and practitioners of music, dance and drama. We’ll also let you in on a little secret: To better achieve learning objectives, all songs used by Muse Arts are original compositions (yep, no ‘Old MacDonald’ or ‘Wheels on the Bus’ here!). Each tune is carefully crafted to suit your child’s behaviour and attention span for achieving learning objectives. How’s that for a personalised learning experience!
The arts in action!
In line with Muse Arts’ vision of “developing character and nurturing future artists through Music Instructions”, the school has created a whole suite of application opportunities for kids to take their learning out of class. Their YouTube Channel features super-fun DIY projects and activities that reinforce concepts learned in class. Muse Arts also works closely with professional children’s musical group Musey Dehsey, providing them with talent for upcoming productions. As part of Musey Dehsey, children gain valuable professional exposure and training, appearing in in-house theatre productions, roadshows, or preschool year-end concerts. Muse Arts’ program also provides the basic foundation for kids to proceed into certification programs such as CSTD (jazz / contemporary dance), ABRSM & Trinity (piano) and RAD (ballet).

Music & Movement classes @ Indoor Playgrounds
If your little ones love indoor playgrounds, they’re gonna love the fact that Muse Arts has music and movement classes at not one but FIVE indoor playgrounds in Singapore. Classes are held at Tickle Tickle’s branches at Hougang Sports Hall, Delta Sports Complex and Junction 10 @ Bukit Panjang, and eXplorerkid’s outlets at Ang Mo Kio Hub and E!Hub @ Pasir Ris. Here’s a brief look at some of the highlights:
Musical Babies 1 – 1.5yrs old
This program aims to inculcate an arts culture in the family by involving parents. Activities developing your baby’s aural and motor skills such as a baby carrier dance, sensory play, tummy time and exposure to different percussion instruments will be conducted, to the tune of catchy and easy to sing-along songs.
Music Toddler 1.5 -3 years old
This class introduces your toddler to the idea of music as a way of learning and communicating, as well as teaching parents about how music lessons may help in communicating with kids who need more help with language skills. Students will be exposed to rhythms, melody and tempo in songs, and music and dance movement terms will be taught.
Music & Me 4-6 years old
Kids will learn to play instruments such as the resonator bell and keyboard. Teamwork is fostered through ensemble play, and children will be given the chance to build their confidence by performing in front of a crowd. Kids can also look forward to learning different dance techniques in specific dance forms.
Playgroup @ Indoor Playgrounds
Aimed at children aged 1.5-3 years. This programme includes a 2.5 hours EduTaiment session with a MusEducator, and unlimited playtime @ the indoor playground (bonus!)
