Whoop whoop! Are you ready for a month filled with cool dance activities for all ages? We know we are!
We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty excited about National Arts Council’s Got to Move (GTM) nationwide dance movement. There are heaps of family-friendly programmes filled with fun and creativity. The best part? It will get you dancing (yep, even you non-dancers out there)! Here’re some of the exciting performances and activities you can expect from this month-long dance-travaganza:
Rolypoly Neighbourhood Grooves
19 Oct (3 sessions), 2-3pm, 3.15-3.45pm, 4pm-5pm
This community dance platform brings the magic of dance to your neighbourhood! Rolypoly Family brings two signature dance performances to children and their families, a fun dance step-making workshop for teens and a dance party for everyone!

GTM Dance-Walk
19 Oct, 9am–10am
Start your morning right with the GTM Dance-Walk at Sengkang Sports Centre! This year’s edition is inspired by our fave childhood game of musical chairs. And just like the previous editions of Dance-Walks, it will bring a blend of cardio and dance elements, making it a fun, engaging experience for EVERYONE. You’ll discover how easy it is to enjoy dance, regardless of stamina, age or prior experience with dance.
Sengkang Sports Centre, 57 Anchorvale Road, Singapore 544964; For more details on how to pre-register, check out www.nac.gov.sg/GotToMoveSG or follow us @GotToMoveSG on Facebook and Instagram!
Fear Knot by The Kueh Tutus

Get the fam (perfect for families with children 5 years old and above) ready for a 30-45min participatory site-specific dance performance. And get how cool this is: together with your kids, you’ll go on a mission to spot squidoos (a new species of animals) around Sengkang Sports Centre. But it won’t be easy! The baby squidoos will be on the move as they hunt and play!
Sengkang Sports Centre, 57 Anchorvale Road, Singapore 544964; Registration required – check out the @kuehtutus on IG or www.facebook.com/thekuehtutus for more information.

Cairnhill Community Club, 1 Anthony Road, Singapore 229944
The Visual Collective
26 Oct, 5pm–7pm
Explore your creativity with Mash-up, a cool, local independent label. Get your artsy side on and immortalise your designs in a polyshrink keychain – it’s easy as colour, toast, shrink! It’s going to be dance inspired, so expect to bring little ballet shoes, little tutus and the likes home!
Gardens by The Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953
