Here are the fun runs and running events in Singapore to put on your family’s radar, including upcoming races and annual favourites to watch for next year.
Our top picks of family-friendly fun runs and marathons in Singapore
1. Run For Inclusion 2026

Want to show the kids that sport is for everyone? Run For Inclusion is a brilliant opportunity to get active while celebrating a more inclusive community. Returning for its 12th edition, the event brings together persons with special needs, caregivers and the wider community under the theme of Togetherness.
There are several ways to get involved, including a 4km run, an 8km run and a relay for teams of four, with each runner completing 2km. There’s also the signature Blindfold Run, which gives participants the opportunity to experience running alongside a guide. It’s a meaningful way to start conversations with children about empathy, accessibility and the different ways people can participate in sport.
The event takes place at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir, making it a good option for families with older children who are comfortable covering a few kilometres. Check the organiser’s registration information for age restrictions and the availability of places before signing up.

2. Pokémon RUN 30: Singapore Edition

Calling all Pokémon Trainers! If your kids would rather chase Pikachu than a personal best, this themed running adventure could be right up their street. Pokémon RUN 30 celebrates 30 years of the much-loved franchise with an approximately 4km route, interactive experiences, photo opportunities and Pokémon-inspired installations. Participants can look forward to themed activity zones, hydration stops and opportunities to collect stickers along the route.
There’s also a Pokémon Festival Zone that is free to enter (no race ticket required), and features activities and experiences for fans who prefer to save their energy for exploring rather than running. There’ll even be meet-and-greets with Pikachu and a Pikachu Parade, as well as a game zone with Nintendo Switch 2 (to play Pokémon games of course) and Pokémon Trading Card Game tutorials if you want to try your hand at the original game experience. Check out the Pokémon Time Tunnel that displays 30 years history and explores what is planned for the future, and don’t miss the Pokémon pop-up store with exclusive merchandise!
Note: Online registration is now closed, so families who missed out on a race entry can still check the official event information for access to the free Festival Zone.

3. Run For Life 2026

Here’s a run with a little extra heart. Run For Life supports children, young people and families served by Life Community, giving families an opportunity to get active while supporting a meaningful cause. The event has both an in-person race day and a wider fundraising campaign. The running event features 2.4km and 5km options at Gardens by the Bay, while registered participants can also take part in a self-paced run or walk and fundraise beyond race day. There’s a Parent-Child category, too, making this one worth investigating if you’d like to introduce your child to running for a reason beyond the finish-line medal!
The official race day is coming up in November, but don’t leave registration until the last minute. The deadline for the in-person event is 31 October 2026. If you miss it, you can still register as a fundraising supporter and take part in the virtual activity.
When: Saturday, 21 November 2026, 7am – 11am
Where: Silver Garden, Gardens by the Bay
Best for (age range): Families with children of any age in the Parent-Child category; children must participate with a parent or legal guardian throughout.

4. Run For Hope 2026
Looking for a run that gives back? Run For Hope is an annual event organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore to raise awareness and support for cancer research. The event offers non-competitive 5km and 10km distances, making it an option for families with older kids and teens who are ready to cover a little more ground. There’s no minimum age requirement, although runners under 21 need parental or guardian consent. It’s also a lovely opportunity to talk to older kids about why community fundraising matters and how taking part in an event can support a cause.
The run takes place at Marina Barrage, with beautiful views across the waterfront. Choose the shorter route if your family is new to organised running, and remember that entry fees are non-refundable, so make sure everyone is happy with their chosen distance before registering.

5. Walk for Health @ Kembangan 2026
Not every family fitness outing needs a race bib and a competitive finish line. Walk for Health @ Kembangan is a community event encouraging families and friends to get outdoors while supporting vulnerable seniors in Singapore’s South East District. Participants can walk or run an approximately 2km route along the canal-side paths, with every kilometre walked contributing towards a community fundraising target. It’s a gentle way to introduce younger children to the idea that small steps can make a difference, too. The event was postponed from October because of the haze, so check the latest organiser updates before heading out.
When: Saturday, 14 November 2026, 5.30pm–7pm; warm-up at 5.30pm and flag-off at 5.45pm.

6. BYD Singapore International Marathon Kids Dash
If your little runner is ready for their first taste of race-day excitement, the Kids Dash is one to keep on your radar. Part of the BYD Singapore International Marathon weekend, this dedicated children’s event offers shorter distances designed for different ages and abilities. The youngest participants can join a non-competitive 600m dash, while older children can choose a 1.6km event, with both non-competitive and competitive categories available. Children receive race-day entitlements, including a T-shirt and medal in the relevant categories, while competitive runners can vie for age-group trophies.
It’s worth noting that this is a children’s race within a major running event, rather than a full family fun run. Adults must supervise children aged six and under, while adults cannot accompany runners in the 7–12 age categories. The 2026 event is scheduled for December, but the published registration deadline has passed, so this is one to watch for next year’s edition.

The programme includes a relaxed 5km fun run and a 10km run for those looking for a longer challenge. It’s a good option for families with older children who are comfortable running a few kilometres, while also supporting a charity-focused event organised by NUS Business School students. Tips for taking the kids to their first fun run
Choose the right distance. A short course that leaves everyone smiling is better than a long one that ends in tears. Check the minimum age and whether children can walk the route.
Make it about the experience. Let younger kids choose their trainers, decorate a race-day T-shirt or carry their own water bottle. The finish line is exciting, but so is the journey.
Check the rules before you register. Some races require an adult to run alongside younger children, while others do not allow adults on the course. Stroller policies and age cut-offs vary, too.
Plan for Singapore’s weather. Early starts are common, so check flag-off times carefully. Bring water, sun protection and a change of clothes, and keep an eye on official updates if the weather or haze affects the event.
Don’t forget the fun. A medal, a family breakfast afterwards or a favourite post-run treat can turn a race into a happy family memory.
The best family run isn’t necessarily the biggest or fastest. It’s the one that gets everyone moving, cheering each other on and looking forward to doing it again.
