Looking for a fun day out with your pet? Forum The Shopping Mall is busting out Paws in the Outdoors, a fun event for furkids happening from 19 to 20 July, with wellness talks, a pet’s market, and even a best dressed contest.
As the proud owner of the cutest cocker spaniel, I’m always on the lookout for pet-friendly spaces and events to enjoy with my lil doggo. And when I heard about Forum The Shopping Mall’s fun (and free!) Paws in the Outdoors event happening from 19 to 20 July (11am to 6pm), I just couldn’t clear my calendar fast enough – here’s why. The best part? All pets — big or small — are welcome!
There’s a chill out zone for both you and the furkids
If your pet needs some downtime, head to the chill out zone which has beanbags and lounge chairs. Stay tuned for live performances happening on 19 July, and grab some delicious grub for your pet from the Pet’s Café by Furry’s Kitchen. Can’t decide what to get? Make up your mind after trying a few samples of the vet-formulated natural ingredient pet meals. And with flavours like pork and broccoli, or beef and sweet potato, we won’t blame your pet if it can’t stop drooling!
There’ll be a line-up of wellness talks by experts on 19 July too, which will deep-dive into topics like nutrition, grooming, and pet behaviour.
Retail therapy available for you and your furkids at the Pet’s Market
Trust me when I say I’d be a whole lot richer if I didn’t have my beloved dog. And with so many amazing pet products on the market, just take my money already! Shop away at the Pet’s Market, and spoil your lucky pet with plenty of treats, toys, and accessories. Local pet brands will be spotlighted, such as frozen gourmet meal toppers from Woofalicious, single-ingredient treats from Pets Everything Today, and lots of toys from Pawvy SG. You can even get a nifty skin and fur scan or ear cleaning done on the spot by Goodest Boy Studios.
Snag a commemorative polaroid
I confess: open up my camera roll, and you’ll see about 142,385 photos of my dog sleeping. If you can’t stop snapping adorable pictures of your pet as well, you’re going to love this cute souvenir. Keep a lookout for the roving photographer, who will be armed with a polaroid camera and lots of cool handheld props.
Alternatively, we love the idea of the pet paw-traits (available from 4-5pm on both days), where a caricature artist will turn your pet’s image into a unique drawing.
Have fun with the carnival games
This one is more for the humans, but nothing beats having a furry or feathery cheerleader by your side. Feel like a kid again with classic carnival games like a good old ring toss, and try your luck at winning some of the fab prizes. Think: assorted plushies, small toys, or vouchers from the vendors at Pet’s Market.
Put your best paw forward for a best dressed contest
Break out the costumes and booties, and get your pets ready for a grand best dressed contest on 20 July! Register your interest in advance, and the top three contestants will walk away with up to $200 worth of Forum The Shopping Mall vouchers, on top of Goodest Boy Studio pet shampoo and Furry’s Kitchen food vouchers.

Even if you’re not planning on participating, we recommend hanging around for an entertaining show. Watch as the pawrents and pets strut their stuff on stage to the beat of background music. Feel free to clap along, it’ll be a real party!
