We’re always on the hunt for the best activities to fill our calendar over the school holidays, and we’ve lucked out with the happenings over at City Square Mall. Not only are there options to keep everyone, from tots to teens, entertained, but what makes it even sweeter is the mall’s commitment to all things eco-friendly – something we’re really on board with. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for all the family this March…
Celebrate Earth Hour: Movie screening, PUB mascots, music, and so much more!
What better way to spend the school hols than with some super-fun activities celebrating an important cause? City Square Mall is offering a host of Earth Hour activities as part of its Earth Hour Get-2gether.
First up, the family can check out a movie under the stars with the screening of WALL•E. Enjoy the free-flow popcorn (with all-time favourite flavours like chocolate, and exotic ones like nasi lemak and chilli crab) as you catch this classic from Disney and Pixar. The film is a great intro for the kids to the realities of consumerism and just how fragile our Earth is. You’ll also be watching it in good company, as special guests, PUB Mascots Water Wally and Sally will be making an appearance.
The performances don’t stop there – the fam will also be treated to live performances by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Trella Trio as part of the celebrations. All this, and fun quizzes to get the kiddos clued up on water conservation and our earth, with cool prizes up for grabs. Educational and awesome – win, win!

Go blue with the family for Singapore World Water Day
Did you know World Water Day is also in March? If you and the kids fancy dressing up, then raid the wardrobes for your best blue outfits to hit the mall in. Head to the L2 Customer Service Counter, and the first 100 shoppers will receive a snazzy toiletry set!

Good Ole Fun at City Green Park
It’s not just eco celebrations to add to your cals at City Square Mall this school holidays because there’s an outdoor carnival stopping by from 10 March – 9 April, too! Round up the family and head down to City Green Park and visit the Good Ole Fun in the Park outdoor carnival. There will be games galore, plus all the classic rides that the kids (and grownups) will love. We’re talking carousels, trackless train, and even our favourite – the good old pirate ship. You’ll probably want to make a day of it because chances are the kids won’t want to leave!
When: 10 March – 9 April 2023. Weekdays 5:30pm-9:30pm; weekends and public holidays 1pm – 9:30pm.

And eco-friendly initiatives to get involved with
We are not just big fans of City Square Mall because of its awesome activities; we also love that it aims to make a difference through its eco-friendly initiatives. You can also get on board and do your bit this school hols. If you’re driving a green vehicle (eg. electric cars, hybrids, etc.) to the mall, you’ll be pleased to know that there are dedicated Green Vehicle Parking Lots near the travelator lobby at B3 and B4, as well as EV Charging Stations at B4.
Get the kids to Marie Kondo their rooms and bring unwanted items to The Green & Social Good Space at City Square Mall. There’s a Greensquare textile recycling bin, an e-waste facility, a food bank, as well as an adult diaper donation drive so you and the kids can do a good deed and make a difference. You can also start training the family with the eco habit of bringing your own bottles to reduce single-use plastic bottles – City Square Mall has got you covered with a free Water Refill Station at its Customer Service Counter at L2.

Did you know that City Square Mall is home to the world’s first indoor atrium net playground? If that’s not worth having on your list this school holiday, we don’t know what is! And there’s more – from Timezone to catching a movie at Golden Village, you’ll have that calendar filled in no time! City Square Mall also features a kids’ learning hub, so you can check out the latest enrichment classes to sign the kiddos up to.
