Our brunch of the month is a Spanish stunner by the water: head over for the special Easter brunch and egg hunt with the kids and find out why Sabio by the Sea is a hit with families…
We’re big fans of brunching here at HoneyKids, and love finding new family-friendly restaurants and cafes in Singapore to take the brood. So when we strolled up to Sabio by the Sea in Sentosa’s picture-perfect Quayside Isle, we could see straight away why this is a hit with parents in the know.
If you haven’t discovered Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove yet, it’s time to get acquainted: think Robertson Quay without the queues. More space for the kids to scoot. Sparkling water. Yachts for the kids (and dads) to get excited about. You get the idea. (Love waterside restauraunts? Check out our fave kid-friendly spots in Singapore by the river.)
So settle in at Sabio by the Sea at a table where you can gaze at that water, order a jug of sangria for the grown-ups and get ready for a languid Spanish feast. If you’ve already indulged at Sabio’s sister restaurant in Duxton Hill, you’ll know all about the amazing charcoal-grilled meats and seafood. Now, add ham croquetas, beef meatballs in salsa and a traditional potato and onion tortilla for the kids, and a perfect seafood paella to complete the family feast.
While you’re grazing, and deliberating on whether or not you should order the churros (of course you should), Sabio by the Sea’s in-house magician, Martin, will show you a trick or two if you catch him on a Sunday. Try to figure out how he bends those spoons and transforms paper into $50 bills! We got an impromptu lesson in balloon sculpting so we could impress the kiddos at home. Nice touch.
There’s even more family fun in store this month, with La Easter Brunch on Sunday 27 March! The festivities include an egg hunt and craft for the kiddos, with all the fun kicking off at 12pm (we hear there are some fab prizes for finding a special bunny). An Easter brunch menu will star Sabio’s signature chachouka – sinful baked eggs – a spectacular ribeye and, of course, CHURROS. Call Sabio by the Sea on 6690 7568 to snap up your spot.
Breezy spot with a water view? Space to park the stroller? Family friendly atmosphere and tasty tapas fare? We’re sold. And when Singapore turns on one of its sparkling sunny days, this is the kind of place you could linger all afternoon…
