On the hunt for party venues to host the perfect celebration for your child? Let eXplorerkid do all the hard work.
When it comes to party venues and ideas for your little one, we’re big believers in going all out and hosting a celebration your kids and their friends won’t soon forget. But unless you’re a Betty Crocker in the kitchen, have a wardrobe full of ready-made dress ups and have a very high tolerance for the excited shrieks of sugared-up children, we all know the best way to really enjoy the day is to outsource it.
Which is why we love eXplorerkid. As Singapore’s largest indoor play centre, it’s something of a no-brainer when it comes to choice of venue for your little person’s special day.
eXplorerkids’ party perks have always included invitations, goodie bags, a separate party room with games and of course unlimited play when you choose their premium packages. We’re also loving their fun birthday themes, which allow your kids to take on the role of mad scientists, swashbuckling pirates or gorgeous princesses.
But just in case you needed any more convincing, here’s a list of the top five reasons we think handing over party planning to the experts is such a good idea.
1. Space to run
With a little imagination, you can probably envisage your condo’s function room transformed into a (enter child’s favourite theme here) wonderland. But by the time you’ve transported everything from the food platters to your iPhone speakers to the sticky tape down in the lift, you’re probably ready for the day to be over before it’s even begun.
The alternative? Walking into (and out of) a decorated party room designed specifically for entertaining children up to age 12. Sounds good to us!
2. Fabulous food
Even if you do love a potter in the kitchen, there’s a big difference between whipping up a family meal and making enough food for a flock of ravenous pint-sized party-goers scavenging for energy between games. Just thinking about what could go wrong in the kitchen makes us a little faint as well.
Instead, imagine choosing a range of pre-planned menus, where all you have to do is tick the boxes and have an appetizing meal right in front of you, twenty hungry kids, and their parents. More spring rolls, anyone?
3. Throwaway themes
No matter how into their favourite character your child is this year, the chances of getting a second run out of your cupboard full of life-size Dora cut-outs next year is slim to none.
Yet as vital as decorations are for setting the scene, the idea of walking out on them – as opposed to peeling them off the walls yourself after the last child has left – has a lot going for it.
4. Entertainment for all
Ok, so even if you’ve managed to transform the function room and bake up a storm, then what? Two hours is a long time to entertain kids dressed up and ready for a good time.
If your birthday party brain wave stops at pass-the-parcel, seek inspiration from the experts – in fact, just leave it to them all together. eXplorerkids’ games and craft activities such as balloon hunting, pinata smashing and face-painting sound like a MUCH better idea when you’re not the one shopping for supplies. For some pizzaz, you can even add a magic show and balloon sculpting to the agenda.
5. Time is precious
Let’s face it: birthdays can cost big bucks, especially if you’re an invite-the-whole-class type. But one mistake parents often make when doing the maths on self-catering versus outsourcing everything is failing to factor in the time they spend searching for everything from themed goodie bags to gluten-free flour and invitation cards. Not to mention the cleaning up…
