Congratulations to Australian International School in Singapore for clinching one gold and two silver wins in this year’s Singapore Education Awards. Here’s how the school bagged these prestigious accolades.
We all want a holistic education for our children, and trust us when we say that Australian International School (AIS) has got the winning recipe down pat. It won three awards at our 2025 Education Awards — Gold for The Curriculum Awards (International Baccalaureate), Silver for Best Outdoor Learning Programme, and Silver for International School with the Most Future-Ready Students — and we couldn’t be happier!
Academic excellence helmed by expert educators

The curriculum is at the heart of every school, and AIS wholeheartedly believes that an education should do more than just prepare students for exams — but that it should prepare them for life. It offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which positions students to think critically and meaningfully. The school has achieved fantastic results too, with 30% of students scoring 35 points or higher, and 25% achieving the lauded Bilingual Diploma. In addition, the Higher School Certificate cohort (Singapore’s one and only!) results place AIS students in the top 15% worldwide. All in all, 99% of graduates have received an offer from one of their top-choice universities. How about that!
The students’ work also achieved global fanfare, ranging from Math Olympiad wins to being featured in art exhibitions at the Louvre in Paris. They take on really inspiring projects too, such as a six-year-old student cycling 128 kilometres to fundraise for a Cambodian school.
At AIS, learning extends well beyond the classroom

Learning isn’t confined to just four walls; at AIS, the entire world is the classroom. Nature is a big part of their outdoor learning programme, where students attend forest schools, go on service-learning expeditions, and even go beyond borders to attend international adventure camps. From exploring ecosystems at Wildlings Forest School to conducting geography fieldwork in Lombok, the students simply have so much fun! A definite highlight is the Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, as well as service trips to Nepal and India through the Schools4Schools service learning programme that was established in 1993.
What’s next? We heard that students are looking forward to AIS’ inaugural Swiss Alps ski trip, on top of hospitality placements at Gold Coast’s SeaWorld. This whole programme aims at helping students develop real-world skills like confidence, collaboration, and resilience — and is much loved by both students and their families.
There’s no better time to prepare for the future than now

The world is changing, and so must we. To prepare students for this, AIS has gone one step further to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its day to day in a safe manner. Despite this, human interaction is key, ensuring that students learn how to use technology responsibly. Lessons are conducted in the newly unveiled Creative Hub, a modern facility dedicated to music, design, and the culinary arts. To further foster creativity, the school encourages students to produce work for regular visual arts exhibitions held at the Australian High Commission. They’re challenged to think out of the box, and produce innovations — such as using recycled materials to create sustainable fashion pieces — for events such as the Technology and VET showcase feature.
The students are well positioned for life after school as well, aided by AIS’ careers and pathways team. It provides customised support for students Year 8 onwards, helping to secure placements in top global universities. The Year 10 Careers programme is a standout, comprising mock interviews, networking, and CY writing practice.
Why we love AIS
We absolutely love how students are well taken care of both in school, and for what lies ahead after they graduate. After all, isn’t that what all parents want?
You have our heart, AIS!
