This international school shines bright at this year’s Singapore Education Awards, winning five categories, including the new Best Outdoor Learning Programme.
Stamford American International School is one of our Singapore Education Awards’ biggest winners this year, coming away with an impressive five awards!
On the academic front, it was crowned Gold for The Curriculum Awards (American), Silver for The Curriculum Awards (International Baccalaureate), and Silver for Singapore Preschool of the Year. It’s not all about classroom studies too, with the school clinching Gold for Best Outdoor Learning Programme. With all these accolades, it’s no wonder Stamford American is our Editor’s Choice for Singapore International School of the Year.
So, what makes Stamford American such a standout? Here’s the lowdown.
Students have the freedom to choose an education pathway that suits them best

Think: the full IB Diploma; or an individualised pathway through a combination of IB, Advanced Placement (AP), Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC), as well as Stamford American’s own High School courses to earn the Stamford American High School Diploma. This has translated into fantastic results: for example, the class of 2025 achieved 108 AP scholars, as well as a 97% IB pass rate!
The American curriculum at Stamford American is all dressed to impress. It follows the American Education Reaches Out (AERO), Common Core, and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) — which melds with the IB Programme to form a winning combination. Even better: learning experiences across the board are tailored to individual needs, with students taught to always have an analytical mindset. No wonder it snagged Gold for The Curriculum Awards American!
That’s not all, many students have gained entry into top global universities, with over 95% of the graduates accepted to their top-choice universities, thanks to the school’s college counselling support, mentoring, and internship opportunities.
With the IB learner profile seamlessly integrated into daily school life, we’re not surprised that Stamford American wow-ed the judges and emerged the Silver winner for The Curriculum Awards (IB).
It has a top-notch outdoor learning programme too

In fact, Stamford American is the inaugural Gold winner for this award category! The school’s academic field studies programme takes students beyond the classroom through meaningful, age-appropriate adventures, whether exploring Singapore’s green spaces, trekking in Nepal or visiting cultural destinations across Southeast Asia. Each trip blends creativity, challenge, and service to help students learn, grow and care for the world around them. Designed in partnership with the Jump! Foundation, each experience is aligned with curriculum milestones to bring classroom learning to life. Parents are kept informed through roundtables and Q&A sessions, and the students are well taken care of by staff trained in wilderness first aid.
Stamford American even snagged two big awards

Last but not least, Stamford American is this year’s Silver winner of Singapore Preschool of the Year and Editor’s Choice for Singapore International School of the Year. Again, no surprises here, what with the school’s achievements in the American and IB curriculum, as well as outdoor learning being recognised by our judges.
Joy and learning go hand in hand at Stamford American’s Early Learning Village, which follows the Reggio-inspired way of teaching. Preschoolers can be enrolled in daily specialist-led Mandarin and Spanish programmes, or choose an immersive Mandarin-English bilingual track. Complementing this is a skilled faculty possessing over 13 years of average teaching experience, an expert team of occupational therapists, speech and language specialists, counsellors, and psychologists provides added support.
Holistic development is a priority too, with the students having access to the world-renowned Suzuki Violin Program for early exposure to violin and cello instruments, as well as art, design, and physical education modules. This is on top of 30 exciting co-curriculars like robotics and coding. Environment plays a big part, with a hybrid indoor-outdoor campus providing purposeful play and learning opportunities. Besides, community is everything here at Stamford American, which connects families from more than 75 nationalities through information evenings and regular social events.
Hats off to you, Stamford American!
