We saw first hand how HWA International School’s students learn through art at the school’s Art Appreciation Week.
HWA International School recently organised an Art Appreciation Week, where students get to try their hand at creating art in different forms. This learning event is aimed at inspiring and empowering students to learn through art and music.
The HoneyKids team was given the opportunity to visit HWA’s Art Appreciation Week, and were absolutely amazed by the exhibition and performances. Our favourite was (spoiler alert) the Wearable Art Show, put on by the students themselves. Check out what went down at the artsy event.

Learning through art is possible.. and is super fun!
Not only did HWA’s students discover and learn new types of art form, they also picked up soft skills like creativity and collaboration. Through the various art activities, students learned how to see things from a different perspective, and even saw how art and science are connected. The Wearable Art Show and mixed media art booth taught students the importance of teamwork and collaboration as well. Last but not least, the exposure to different art tools and recyclable materials improved their awareness of the need for environmental protection.
