10 Best Kid Friendly Restaurants Guide
There are thousands of places to grab a bite to eat in Singapore, but finding a spot to dine with little ones can be tricky. HoneyKids is here to help with the top 10 kid friendly restaurants in the southwest.
Jamie’s Italian
He’s internationally known for making real food with delicious flavors, and when Jamie Oliver brought one of his restaurants to Singapore, he didn’t forget about the kiddos! The children’s menu at Jamie’s Italian at VivoCity is actually a retro View-Master (remember those from when we were kids?!), so kids can select their meal by looking at pictures of their options. Servers also bring stickers, crayons, and paper to the table. Don’t forget that there’s a free outdoor park and water play-area on the second floor of VivoCity!
Jamie’s Italian, 1 Harbourfront Walk (VivoCity), Singapore 098585, p. 6733 5500, Open Mon – Thu Noon-10pm, Fri-Sat Noon-11pm, & Sun Noon-10pm.
Marche
Whether it’s the friendly-looking cow that greets you as you walk in the door, or the fact that children get to see their food options before making a selection, Marche is extremely family-friendly. With many healthy and wholesome lunch and dinner options, the whole family will leave full and happy… Especially the kids, since they can take a dip in VivoCity’s Sky Park Pool right outside Marche’s door!
Marche, 1 Harbourfront Walk #03-14, Singapore 098585, p. 6376 8226, Open Mon-Fri 11am-11pm & Sat-Sun 10am-11pm.
Timbre @ Gillman
Every first Saturday of the month, Timbre @ Gillman opens their restaurant to families with children! There’s live music, drumming workshops, craft sessions, a play area, all while everyone enjoys a delicious BBQ dinner. These Saturday BBQs start at 4pm, and there’s even a field next door for the kids to run around in (as if all the other entertainment isn’t enough). On any other night, there’s live music to get the kids and parents up and dancing! Timbre @ Gillman, 9A Lock Road #01-05, Singapore 108926, p. 6338 8277, Open Mon – Thu 6-11pm, Fri & Sat 6pm-2am.
Prive Cafe
Kick back and relax with a delicious latte, or an all-day breakfast dish, as the little ones climb about the little play-area at Prive Cafe. Plus, everyone in the family can watch some of the world’s most expensive yachts leave and enter the marina. Kids will gobble up the Berry Banana Pancake Stack, and wash it down with a Babycinno (frothed milk)!
Prive Cafe, 2 Keppel Bay Vista, Singapore 098382, p. 6776 0777. Open daily 9am-Midnight.
Ju Shin Jung Korean BBQ If you enjoy Korean BBQ, live on the West Coast, and have kids, this might become your new favorite restaurant. While adults sit around an actual charcoal grill and grill their own meats and veggies, little ones can have fun at the indoor playground! There’s a slide, ball pit, and even some rides. Make sure you book a table near the play-area in advance, because this place is always packed!
Ju Shin Jung Korean BBQ, 27 West Coast Highway, Singapore 117867, p. 6464 0872, Open Mon 6-11pm, Tue-Sun 12-2:30pm & 6-10pm.
IKEA Nope, it’s nothing fancy, but IKEA has simple foods that most kids enjoy. Plus, after an afternoon of shopping for home-goods, parents can sit down and enjoy a hot meal like salmon or french toast, while the kids entertain themselves in the “carousel” at the center of the restaurant. IKEA also has a free drop-off play land, but each child is limited to one hour of play.
IKEA Restaurant, 317 Alexandra Road, Singapore 159965, p. 6786 6868, Open daily from 9am-10:30pm [Last order at 10pm].
Foodfare It’s a family-friendly food court with lower tables and chairs just for kids, as well as kid-sized meals, and breast-feeding rooms for moms. The play-area is small (a couple rocking horses and a see-saw), but the food is cheap, and there’s a lot to choose from. We love the short sinks where independent little ones can wash their hands all by themselves!
Foodfare, 3155 Commonwealth Avenue West #04-20/22, Singapore 129588, Open daily from 10am-10pm.
Blooie’s Roadhouse
This indoor restaurant has tons of space for the kids to run around, and a pond right off the outdoor dining area that’s filled with fish and turtles to keep kids entertained (just make sure they don’t fall in)! Blooie’s has everything from steaks and pastas, to nachos and chicken wings. Plus, if you’re out after dark, the whole family will get a great view of the stars.
Blooie’s Roadhouse, 21 Science Park Road #01-01 (Science Park 2) Singapore 117628, p. 6775 0446, Open Mon-Thu 11am-midnight, Fri 11-1am, Sat 12pm-1am, Sun 12pm-12am.
Onaka
This spot may be a palate adventure for some little ones, but Onaka offers healthy and creative dishes, including watermelon sashimi, and even a bacon-type food made from eggplant! The location is inside a strip mall, but they have nutritious dishes for everyone in the family that we think is worth a try. Plus, kids eat free on Saturday!
Onaka, 460 Alexandra Road #01-32, Singapore 119963, p. 6270 2012, Open Mon-Fri 11am-10pm, Sat 10:30am-10:30pm [Closed Sun].
Vineyard at HortPark Every weekend, Vinyard at HortPark hosts a dedicated Kids’ Corner, to cater to their little guests. Children can play on the bouncy castle, and enjoy balloon sculpting, bowling, and even an archery lane. Parents relax and sip on a glass of wine, while the children play. Sounds like a great way to unwind after a busy week!
