Prepare to be captivated by the world’s top rising violinists as they compete in the finals of the Singapore International Violin Competition 2018. Conducted over nine days at Singapore’s top three concert halls, 32 candidates from 11 countries will compete for over US$100,000 in total prize money. The Final rounds will be with the YST Conservatory Orchestra conducted by distinguished Artist in Residence and violin virtuoso Shlomo Mintz. The Grand Final will be with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Joshua Tan.
Rare instruments from the prestigious Rin Collection will be on display at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music from 28 January to 3 February 2018. Plus, aspiring violinists can attend violin masterclasses for free!
