Waiting for the next big designer collaboration? You’re not alone! We’ve got our eye on some of the most coveted fashion collections this year and topping our shopping list is LeSportsac. They have previously teamed up with big-names such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney and Gwen Stefani, and they are now launching special collections by Japanese label Tsumori Chisato and Disney this month.
Known for fantastical patterns that’ll make you go “Kawaii!”, designer Tsumori Chisato (and Issey Miyake alum) is acclaimed for her luxe treatments of textiles, embellished with bold embroidery, beading and appliques. Her collab with LeSportsac is inspired by a recent trip to Cuba, with bags and pouches emblazoned in cheery watercolours of flowers, crowned birds, ribbons and (surprise!) Mt. Fuji. You can’t miss the brand’s vibrant and optimistic colours that’ll lift any day (or outfit.)
But that’s not all – another range sees a more classic interpretation of the brand’s heritage. Understated and quirky, Cat Dots Beige and Cat Dots Navy feature subtle prints with graphics such as moons, stars and cats peeking out from a sea of polka dots. Now you see ‘em, now you don’t!
Disney fans, rejoice! We had Givenchy’s Bambi sweatshirt on our lust lists, and now LeSportsac has released a range of vintage-inspired prints that has the irresistibly cute Bambi, Thumper and Flower frolicking on a bed of flowers. Choose from a vibrant floral-themed design or adorable pencil-sketched illustrations of Bambi and Thumper. One thing’s for sure – the HoneyKids team can’t say no to these infectiously happy Disney characters.
Built to last
If you need still another reason to snag one of these bags for yourselves, you can always depend on LeSportsac’s quality in-house fabrication. The brand’s signature nylon fabric is so light and durable, their designs can double up as gym or travel bags too. Need proof? Check out these four stylish “survival kits” that you can bring to work, gym, a beach vacay or a day out with the kids.
The Bambi and Friends and Tsumori Chisato collections are priced from $40 to $260, and $55 to $330 respectively.
