Check out this Multi Sports Programme!
Are your kids running circles around you? We’ve got a more productive way to burn off that hyperactivity. Meet Sport4Kids, a new sports coaching company for kids aged 18 months to 12 years. You might have already read about them during our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway; if you entered your name and didn’t win, not to worry! Your kids have another shot to get active with them, so read on for the new kids sports program on the block.
The expert coaches at Sport4Kids (each has at least a degree, or equivalent, in a sports-related field) help the littlies develop coordination and gross motor skills. Their Multi Sports Programme enables your mini-me to learn a wide variety of skills while playing a variety of sports like soccer, basketball, rugby, hockey, and tennis. And you never know, you might just discover your little one has the talent to be the next Jeremy Lin or Robin van Persie!
Want to be more involved than just cheering on from the sidelines? For toddlers aged 18 months to 2 years old, parent involvement is required, so you can be there for your bubb’s first goal. They’ll acquire fundamentals like throwing, catching, bouncing and kicking. You’ll also see them learn how to run forwards, backwards, and sideways, as well as share, take turns, and make friends! Bonus? They’ll also be getting ready for the classroom by understanding different colours, numbers and shapes of the kid-friend equipment. Older toddlers aged 2-4 years old focus on more advanced skills development like throwing and catching with one hand, and different throwing styles. Coordination for them will hit a higher level with jumping on one foot (sounds like a junior Kobe Bryant is in the making!)
If you have slightly older kids – between 4-6 years old – they can take part in the classes on their own. Not only will they work on individual skills development in this age group, your littlies will be split into small groups, which means they’ll be learning how to be a team player. They’ll learn how to control movement, how to pass to other kids, and be introduced to healthy competition in a fun and friendly environment. Don’t fret, there won’t be any fights breaking out!
