Enrichment Camps with Learning Horizon
Not everything kids need to learn is in books. And the places they need to learn in are not always schools. Giving your child a break from an academic environment can actually help them to learn essential coping skills. Where can they do this? At top notch enrichment centre, Learning Horizon.
More than 2,000 children embark on enriching learning journeys with Learning Horizon each year. And where do they end up? Happy! Not to mention confident, capable and fulfilled. This is because Learning Horizon offer a winning mix of fun that is designed and directed by expert child specialists.
In the lead up to Christmas, Learning Horizon is offering four new exciting camps for kids aged three to 12 years. With components of music, drama, language, arts, and outdoor playtime incorporated into each program, learning is so entertaining, that the kids don’t even know it’s happening! They will pick up qualities like leadership, curiosity, creativity, and progressive thinking like it’s second nature.
Here’s a bit about what kids can get up to at a Learning Horizon Camp:
Catch the Wave (25 to 28 November)
Build buckets of self-esteem in Catch the Wave camp. Open to seven to 12-year olds, this four-day life skills camp will improve participants’ speaking skills and confidence, and show them how to show empathy towards others through a series of team building games.
Passport To Primary One (19 to 21 November)
The first day of primary school can be especially tough (and we don’t mean on the parents!). To help allay your child’s fears, the three-day Passport To Primary One camp will help any six-year old make the smooth transition from kindergarten to primary school. How? By learning concrete skills that they can apply to tackle tricky everyday situations (whether social, academic, or emotional ones). The course also introduces kids to concepts like critical thinking and effective problem solving that really build up mind strength.
Wild Wild West
A change is as good as a holiday and in the Wild Wild West camp, kids will seriously go West! Packed with a hair-raising, adrenaline-pumping line-up of activities like line dancing, pony riding, craft activities, and even a Western Obstacle Course, it’ll leave your little cowboys and cowgirls begging for more. The two-day Where’s The Gingerbread Cowboy camp (4 and 5 December) is open to those in Nursery 1, while the three-day Sheriff Logan Calling For Recruits camp (27 to 25 November or 1 to 3 December) is open to older participants in Nursery 2 and Kindergarten 1.
Spaces are filling up quickly – so book your spots at any one of Learning Horizon’s end-of-year enrichment camps now.
