The only street trail created for the young and young-at-heart.
The Yong Siak Street Children’s Street Trail is back for its 5th edition! Started in 2017, the annual event celebrates the joy and curiousity of the young ‘uns with a mix of fun-filled activities that takes place along Yong Siak Street in the Tiong Bahru neighbourhood. A range of activities based on art, craft and food enriches and entertains the young ones as they traverse along the street and back alleys.
This year’s street trail promises to be an amazing experience with a first-ever magical theme that challenges participants to conquer the magical scavenger hunt!
Each child will be given a trail map of spots around Yong Siak Street they can find magical items, take part in activities to collect stickers along the way to stand a chance to win 1 of the 30 goodie bags stuffed filled with awesome treats. Kids will also have a chance to spot the roving magican and be entralled by what’s up his sleeves or magical top hat.
Activities will be curated by participating stores which includes Plain Vanilla, Woods in the Books, Nana & Bird, Creamier, Micro Bakery and Olive Ankara.
They include games such as Pin the Horn on the Mystical Creature and childhood favourites of the past, Tikam Tikam. As well as craft based activites such as Face Portrait Collage and learn how to create magical creatures with chalk with artist Moof.
Past years’ editions saw the kids engaged all-day long on the street trail. This year’s magical trail will be no exception.
Parents, guardians and favourite aunties and uncles can also expect exclusive sales and promotions happening in participating stores. Even a special edition ice cream sandwich collaboration between Micro Bakery and Creamier! There is something for everyone at the Yong Siak Street Children’s Street Trail.
Open to public, no RSVP required.
There is no fixed route. The fun is to get lost and immerse in the magical hunt.
