This thing to do in Bangkok with kids lets you step into Dorothy’s shoes, exploring a world of art inspired by her journey through Oz
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz may have ended on screen, but this thing to do in Bangkok with kids brings the story back to life through art.
The exhibition transforms the beloved classic into a contemporary group show exploring uncertainty, courage and finding your own path.
Running until 31 May at River City Bangkok, it reimagines the unexpected journey of Dorothy, the young girl at the heart of the story, through the eyes of 10 Thai artists, each interpreting what it means to lose your way – whether in the outside world or within yourself.
Rather than focusing on the destination, the show celebrates wandering, questioning and embracing life’s unexpected turns. It is a thoughtful reminder that sometimes the answers we seek may already be growing inside us.
What is A Journey Without a Map?

This thing to do in Bangkok with kids takes inspiration from the Yellow Brick Road, where Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, characters each searching for qualities they already possess.
Through paintings, sculptures, illustrations and mixed-media works, the exhibition expands that message into modern life. In a world that pushes people to always know the next step, A Journey Without a Map offers permission to pause, wonder and explore without certainty.
The show features works by 10 artists: ANO., Bakumbaa, give.me.museums, Keng Jeans, Little Theatre, meltboy, Pi-near, RomanticRaiPoet, Tangent and Thani.
