The current pandemic has challenged the resilience of many children and adolescents as they cope with new routines, less access to supportive mechanisms and future uncertainty. In this talk, Dr Roby Marcou (Developmental & Behavioural Paediatrics Consultant) will focus on how we can cultivate resilience in children and support those children experiencing anxiety. More about Dr Roby Marcou
Dr. Roby Marcou is an American Board Certified Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrician. She was educated at MIT, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Stanford University Hospitals. Prior to opening her private clinic in Singapore at the Novena Medical Center in 2010, Dr. Marcou worked in California, Alaska, Texas and Jakarta. She was an Adjunct Associate Professor at NUS and directed the Child Development Unit at NUH. She currently divides her time between Singapore and her clinic in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Marcou has also taught middle school students and has trained teachers and parents throughout Asia in the understanding of children with developmental and learning differences speaking at schools, regional educators’ and medical conferences.
