In conjunction with Forest Play, Sustainability Champions is a programme for children of ages 4 – 14 years old that incorporates nature activities and an introduction into sustainability
Let your child develop strength in character, mind and body, empathy for others and nature and an understanding of sustainability.
Programme Flow
Station 1: Nature Walk & Bug Hotel Construction
In this activity, children will go on a nature walk at Jurong Lake Gardens to appreciate the flora and fauna as well as obtain natural materials for their Bug Hotel.
They will then construct a DIY Bug Hotel as a temporary home for insects. This allows them to understand the importance of preserving forests and the natural habitat. They get to bring home the Bug Hotel too!
Station 2: Recycling Race & Group Catapult Challenge
In this high adrenaline challenge, participants will race to “Find and Sort” Recyclable materials and thereafter “Construct” a catapult in their respective groups.
