Grab a club and tee off to help a child in need – Little Heroes’ Dream is back with the fourth edition of the Swing for the Kids (SFTK) charity golf tournament, which aims to help over 400 needy kids and youths at risk in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The local, non-profit organization aims to give children a better future by empowering them through education, vocational training and improved shelter with an overall goal of encouraging independence to prevent constant reliance on donations.
Beneficiaries include WELL Centre for children from low income families, IC2 prephouse for children with impaired vision and Society of Father & Son, a centre caring for youths at risk. Funds will also go towards supporting scholarships for underprivleged students in Indonesia and Philippines.
On March 12, families are invited to compete with one another at Montigo Resorts Nongsa, in kid-friendly Fun-Olympics, family 9-hole golf and mini golf putting. The following day (March 13), golfers will gather for the tournament and families and friends can show their support from spectator arena. Up for grabs at the charity auction are dining and hotel stay vouchers from Grand Hyatt and W Hotel, and golf membership at Palm Springs.
Price per golf player is SGD169 for Singapore residents until 28 February 2016. Weekend stay at Montigo Resorts Nongsa for two adults and two children at a special SGD 699 per night inclusive of the free family day programme on March 12.
