Brahms190 is a celebration of the 190th birth anniversary of German composer Johannes Brahms ~ studying the trajectory of his prolific creative life spanning slightly more than six decades – from the moment of the discovery of his talent by the Schumanns to his late years after his retirement when he picked up his pen again for the clarinetist of the Meiningen orchestra – through the selection of one work from every decade by Brahms himself and those closest to him.
Join this powerhouse line-up of international and local musicians on a survey of arguably one of the most important six decades in the history of classical western chamber music!
