Now that the June school holidays are in full swing and parents are on the lookout for fresh activities, we’d love to share Project Saisei (再生) as a meaningful, budget-friendly addition to your live June holiday guides.
Opened on Friday, 5 June 2026 at The Cathay, Level 1 (Turf Zone), this month-long exhibition is completely free to the public and perfectly blends sustainability (radical upcycling) with mindfulness.
Why it’s a great pitstop for families this June:
• Cool & Sheltered Space: Located at Level 1 (Turf Zone) of The Cathay, it’s a perfect indoor escape from the June heat or afternoon downpours.
• Inspiring Visuals for Kids: The exhibition features a curated selection of beautiful artworks created from raw, upcycled materials. Highlights include Vases of Change (plastic bottles turned into art) and a centerpiece of delicate Paper Birds of Possibilities. It’s a great way to show kids how “waste” can become beautiful.
• Hands-on Public Workshops: Beyond viewing the art, families can join interactive, therapeutic sessions throughout the month, including Natural Pigment Painting (15 June) and Botanical Silhouettes (22 June). The creative workshops take place on most Mondays and Wednesdays in June and participants can look forward to an hour of immersive fun.
