Founded in 2012, House on the Hill Montessori Preschool stands out as a nurturing, parent-trusted, family-run group of campuses in Singapore, rooted in authentic Montessori philosophy. It offers a warm, home-like, and screen-less environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, House on the Hill embraces a child-led approach, with experienced educators taking the time to understand each child’s readiness, interests, and natural abilities. Small class sizes and mixed-age groups further support this personalised journey, helping children build confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning.
At House on the Hill, learning goes far beyond academics. Children build early literacy and numeracy skills, while also developing independence, concentration, resilience, and a genuine love for discovery. Through hands-on Montessori activities such as pouring, sorting, and constructing, learning feels natural, purposeful, and joyful. These everyday experiences help children grow into capable, confident learners who are well prepared for primary school and beyond.
The school also embraces the belief that meaningful learning happens through both structure and exploration. Its hands-on approach extends beyond the classroom, giving children opportunities to connect with nature and the world around them through immersive, sensorial experiences. Alongside this, House on the Hill places strong emphasis on bilingual growth, with Mandarin and Japanese languages woven naturally into daily life through songs, conversations, and cultural experiences, helping children build confidence in communication while fostering curiosity, awareness, and appreciation for different cultures.
House on the Hill has four campuses around Singapore, located in Mount Sophia, Balmoral, Pasir Panjang, and Hollandse Club.
